These are great! I have a ten-month old shih-tzu, and, for some time now, I've had to place his hair into a top knot every morning. My shih-tzu and I both have latex allergies, so we have to use latex-free bands.
I had been using other latex-free bands that I had ordered from a Non-Amazon supplier. The bands I previously used were decent, but they took weeks to arrive. I recently realized that I was close-to-out of grooming bands. Eventually, I ordered these. With expedited shipping, these bands were sent the same day, and I had them in my mailbox within two days.
Upon receipt, I was surprised by their quality. They're better than the bands I've been using. They're thicker, and they feel solid. My shih-tzu doesn't fight me when I pull back his hair, so I place his top knot by hand (i.e. we have no need for hemostats because he lays still and will let me wrap the band around his hair four or five times by hand). Usually, I also place a second band 1/4" to 1/2" from the first, so the unbanded hair doesn't fall forward into his face as he eats, drinks and plays.
Given the sturdiness of these bands, I was a bit concerned that they might not stretch enough for me to hand place his top-knot. But, this wasn't the case. Despite my concern, they stretched without breaking, felt solid as I stretched them (which I can't say for other bands I've used; I have broken uncountable numbers of other bands in the process of the initial finger stretch to place the top-knot), and easily went around his tuft of hair.
I anticipate that this may be our go-to band from hereon out, and we will be ordering these again in the future.

Perfect for Yorkie Top Knots!
I have long struggled to find rubber bands suitable for a Yorkie's grooming. They are usually too thin/fragile, and end of breaking as I wind them around her topknot. Or, they break apart after a few days. I have none of those problems with these. They are just the right thickness and “stretchieness” to get the job done, and they last until I remove them, (or until my naughty little girls does😛.)

Or, they break apart after a few days. I have none of those problems with these. They are just the right thickness and “stretchieness” to get the job done, and they last until I remove them, (or until my naughty little girls does😛.)
