Nice length, but thin
The sweater is long on the top, which is very nice. The leg straps were useless. Not only did they bother our pup, but they stretched out after two days. This also meant it seemed likely she would pee on them so we cut them off. The sweater is thin. I expected a cable knit sweater to be thicker/warmer. Also, the neck stretched out very quickly, allowing the whole thing to move down on her body easily. The sizing it also a bit funny. These aren't for broad chested dogs. By the measurement this should fit fine but it's tight across our pup's chest. It worked for us in a pinch but I wouldn't recommend this as an every day, practical item.

    This was a last-minute purchase as I had decided to adopt a dog in mid-winter and wanted a sweater quickly. He is a small Jack Russell terrier, about 15 pounds, and the dimensions work well for his body type. The color is nice and it's an average quality sweater. It probably won't last more than one more season. Very cute though. I really don't get the let straps on these and I just cut them off. One thing I do like on this model that I don't have on my other dogs' sweaters is the snug little cuffs around the front leg openings. They have enough give to get the sweater on but then do a nice job of keeping it from twisting around. It would be nice to find this style made of a heavier knit.

    I have purchased these sweaters in 3 different colors for my small 12lb dog. She is in between sizes with most other sweaters. They are either too tight or way too big. These are slightly big on her, but they are long enough that they cover her entire back. The sweater is curved around the back & is snug around the dog's body. They also do not bind around her legs or chest area. They do stretch out of shape a little after she has worn it for about a week. A quick wash & it tightens back up. I have washed her first sweater many times & it has held up well to repeated washes. It does have some small snags, but after a year that is to be expected. They have a nice high neck collar that can be unrolled to provide more coverage of the neck area. It is a medium knit thickness. I cover her with another wrap felt coat on really cold days as she absolutely hates the cold! She will keep this sweater on all day even inside on really cold days. Overall, these sweaters are an excellent value for the cost. They are great for everyday wear. They are durable & keep my pet warm & comfortable. I don't have to worry about my dog damaging a really expensive coat or sweater while she romps around the yard. I save her more expensive apparel for walks & trips. I keep one of these sweaters set aside for outside trips & walks.

    Cute sweater, but I ordered it too small because of how I measured! Measure between your dog's shoulder blades (i.e., the bottom of the leash collar) to the base of their tail. If it is odd and/or doesn't match their chart, go BIGGER! As for the other reviews complaining about how it is made, it's cheaply priced--what did you expect? Hand wash with cold & lay it flat like you would your own cheap sweaters! LOL
    There is not a "button hole" for the leash---it's just a sweater. I would NOT recommend this for an older dog as it is a bit of chore to get on and off (front leg-wise). If you have a "wide" dog, I would keep scrolling. This is a slender design.
    Summary: Go Bigger. Use on young, slender dogs that have a fenced yard or just for around the house. Hand Wash.

    Bought this for one of my dogs that loves sweaters. The straps on the legs made it really nice. My dog has a tendency to chew his rear end because of consistent heat rashes and he is allergic to fleas and grass. This straps close to his tail and prevented him from chewing and allowed for his fur to grow back in. It worked great, until he rolled around too much and stretched out the neck. Some washing and drying will shrink it back up, but he can get this off in a matter of a day or two now. The straps are not good, however, for dogs with anxiety disorders.

    My other dog that we put one of these on chewed through the straps in a matter of 10 minutes. He suffers from high anxiety and the sweaters help, but he was confused by the straps around his legs. They weren't interfering with any urinating or defecation and left his boy bits alone completely, but they were bothering him I suppose. We had to tie it and it became a little too tight.

    The cut is just right for male dogs as it is high enough not to interfere with urinating which is a problem we have with many sweaters. The back comes all the way down to the base of the tail. These are really great sweaters at a reasonable price.
