- Reviewed in the United States on July 15, 2018I've got yappy small dogs. One's especially verbal and can't help herself. Was worried I couldn't take them rv camping because of their noise level. I bought a this duck beak and a more traditional muzzle. Returned the muzzle immediately since the cloth material felt hard. Used these a couple of times when they got too yappy. Now, I just string the duck beak around my belt buckle and point to it before we head out. If they start getting yappy, I ask them in a stern voice if they want the duck beak and they usually quiet down. The super yappy one sometimes needs me to hug her close and warn her in advance when a big dog comes her way but the barking has gone down dramatically (at least when I'm around and the duck beak is on me anyway).
Besides, they look too cute with those duck beaks on. Muzzles look scary. I'd pick comical or scary any day. Putting it on is a snap.
I have 10-12lb mix dogs (chi, dachshund, maltese, terrier) and the size xsmall fit better than the small. Small had room to still bark some.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2019This muzzle was purchased for my son’s dog. He asked me to order it but I never seen this in action. I was dog sitting for a few days and I saw the muzzle in the bag so I tried it out.
My son’s dog is a Shih Tzu Yorkshire mix. She is only about 11 lbs. but she is quite aggressive to dogs she has never met. However, she is fine with other animals that she is familiar with. This is the reason, that he got this when his dog is meeting new dogs.
The dog recognized this muzzle when she saw me pulling it out of the bag. She did not want to come when called which never happened before. Obviously, she had that put on and she did not like it. Well, I did manage to put that on without too much trouble. However, she looked miserable and just sat there. After a minute or two, I removed it.
Following is my observations: -
It really looks cute and comical.
It does the job.
The material seems to be durable.
It is not difficult to put on the dog.
There is only one con that I could think of but it might not apply to every dog. While it works, I do not like to use it on the dog as she looked so miserable. I just do not have the heart to use it on her. So, when she gets aggressive to other dogs, I just pick her up and all is fine.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2017This worked fine when I was with my dog. But I wanted to use it to help with him destroying my house when I’m gone. It lasted less than a half hour. He got it off and chewed the strap in half.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2016THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT. I HAVE A 8 lb toy poodle. Have to use a muzzle at the vet. Our Dog doesn't like all the things the vet has to do. We have a cloth mussel but saw this duck one on Amazon. It works well because the dogs mouth is free on the open end of the bill. He can lick and open his mouth a little. The bill sticks out enough so the dogs teeth can't bite you. My dog likes it better because his mouth is free inside the bill. The elastic goes around his head under his ears. The elastic has a buckle which makes it tight. My dog doesn't mind it. He doesn't like the cloth one because he can't open his mouth and lick. He is afraid after I put it on. With The duck bill on he doesn't seem to care. It fits perfect. I don't know where all the negative comments are coming from. NEXT EVERYONE LOVES IT. AT THE VET EVERYONE LOVED IT AND WANTED TO KNOW WHERE TO GET IT. MY VET IS THINKING OF SELLING THEM IN THE OFFICE. I COULD HAVE SOLD 10 right there myself. Where people come over to look they see how the dogs teeth are a little free but the bill stops him from being able to get the teeth past The front opening. Look at the photo of the product and all this will make sense to you. If you need s mussel for something your dog doesn't like this is the correct product for you. I paid regular price and I am not getting paid. I wanted to look at the ad again because we have to go to vet tomorrow and everyone will want yo know where I got it and what sizes does it come in from Amazon. When you see it and have it in your hand you will love it. If you need a mussel this is the one to get. I wish I thought of it.,
- Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2017ZERO stars! I bought this for my sweet playful little 8lb Maltipoo who hates hair cuts. She's never bitten or nipped anyone but when I cut her hair she snarls and shakes her head side to side which makes it hard for me to cut the more dangerous/sensitive places. Last night near the end of her haircut we put this product on her and we we're HORRIFIED! We thought she didn't mind it because she didn't move, didn't try to get it off after the first minute. After about 4 minutes I realized her chest was heaving and tore it off. Poor thing couldn't breathe! She was gasping and was warm. I felt like crying! This is torturous. Thank heavens she recovered and is ok. I am very upset and angry! I went to return this today (less than 24 hours since purchase) to find the seller DOESN'T DO RETURNS!! I'm a longtime, big consumer at Amazon. I LOVE Amazon! They need to know their customers are being sold dangerous products by a seller who doesn't have the decency to offer returns. I will be calling Amazon immediately. This is NOT OKAY. Buyer beware!!!!
