    Very strong matireal. I received the color that I wanted (black) . A strong vynil smell also came with the cover. After doing some research, I learned leaving the cover a few hours in direct sunlight will take most of the smell away. Tried it yesterday and seemed to work. No more vynil smell. Overall very strong durable matireal. Would not recommend for outside crates. Each side is held together with velcro that I'm sure in some windy days would just get blown away. Excellent for in home use...after you get rid of that vynil smell that is. Don't let that deter you. Great product.

    I ordered this crate cover for my three large dogs and it is workable. Some of the velcro fasteners were put on wrong so I had to put new velcro on spots. And Precision Pet Indoor Outdoor Crate Cover for Size 3000 Crates Tan that means in places. Velcro is spaced too far apart so wind or rain can get inside of crate. Do not recommend this to be placed in open outdoors. Mine are under covered patio. I ordered another cover for my cat crates and am very pleased with it. It is by Precision Pets (Precision Pet Indoor/Outdoor Crate Cover). It is far better quality than the three I already placed on my dog crates. Next year I will order the Precision Pets crate covers for my dogs.

    I would have given this product a much higher rating if: It had been the color advertized..it wasn't. If it didn't have the most hideous vinyl odor that may even be harmful. And, if the manufacturer (not the seller who I did not contact) even had the courtesy to reply to emails.

    The Blue Grate Cover (not black) seemed well made. It fit the crate like a glove. Even though blue the appearance was pleasing and I didn't mind. What I did mind was the stench from the vinyl. After doing some research I found some vinyl odors are toxic. Since this is a grate kept in the house I was worried about the dog and the people exposed to the smell. I did find info that says sunlight would get rid of most of the odor which I did and it did. The Manufacturer was totally useless. The numbers that Amazon gave me were no longer valid and the only option was emails which apparently goes to the Junk mail bin on the Manufacturers site. Without some confirmation of the safety of this product I cannot recommend it.

    Addendum: After doing some research I aired the cover for 2 days in the sun. Tthe smell finally was down to an acceptable leve and had pretty much disappeared after 4 days of airingl. I upgraded my review one star but I still have misgivings...too bad because it is a well made cover otherwise.

    This product is good for indoors, but not good out doors. It is a pain the butt to keep on my fur baby's crate. It is constantly coming off and in the rain it does not keep my fur baby dry. My fur baby has to be kept on our out side patio during the day while I work and I was trying to find a dry solution for her when it rains. This is not the solution and I wish I could get my money back. I was very specific when I ordered this that I needed an out door crate cover, this is not an out door crate cover. Don't waste your money if you want an out door crate cover this is not it.... :(

    I have a hound, who sheds like crazy and is so slobbery. Whenever he was in his crate and shook his head, the wall next to him would get all dirty. I got so fed up scrubbing walls that I decided to give this a shot. So far so good! It's heavy duty, but I was able to fold the front part back in order to let more air vent through, but I can take this outside and hose it off when it gets dirty. I'm very happy with this purchase and the price isn't bad either!
