It's okay.
I ordered two of these but this one has a part that is coming apart. (See picture) I'm scared it will continue to unravel or just snap. The blue one I got is perfect. I would love to replace this black and white one.

Great leash for puppy training or adult dogs that still pull. It is not a long leash (4 ft?), but that is the whole point- to give better handling control with a puller. I got the b&w one. Looks good. This leash is very comfortable for me to hold with my moderate puller (I'm 5'2" and my dog is 65 lbs). I didn't think a rope type leash would be this comfortable, but it's not made of harsh feeling material. I don't know how it would hold up to a leash chewer, or puppy teeth (my dog is neither). Most importantly, this leash doesn't appear to harm my dogs neck as other similar style ones have in the past. And it works. I can now go for walks with my dog and my toddler without my arm being yanked the whole time. My only wish is that I found this leash sooner! Would recommend to anyone.

This appears to be a well made product. However, be forewarned, it is made of nylon rope almost 1/2 inch in diameter. It is strong enough for any large adult dog, but way too heavy for most puppies. Since I intended this lead for a whippet puppy and didn't notice the rope size, I ended up buying a second lighter weight lead.

It's thicker than I expected, but it works well with my 2 years old border terrier. He likes to pull on traditional collar and clip leash, especially when there's squirrel or birds around. Having a shorter leash is definitely a bonus, I can control him easily by giving him a tad nudge correction when he started to feel his "hunting" need to launch at squirrel or birds, plus shorter leash allowed him to walk right beside me. I just wish they made it a little bit slimmer, if you have an xs size or small size dog under 20 lbs i wouldn't recommend this leash. On a "chunky" medium or large or XL size dog with broad head this leash is a must, especially strong "bull" type of dog, the construction of material is strong enough but soft and comfortable, definitely wouldn’t hurt your canine friend. Thumbs up for no more pulling! A must have for a pack leader and for more enjoyable jog or walk!

Good quality lead... the rope is flexible and nice but very rough. I am heel training my pitbull and we were using a chain collar and she was doing perfectly but as soon as this leash went on her it’s like she forgot everything. I think it’s because she couldn’t hear the tightening of the lead. I recommend a chain collar for training NOT this one because it is so rough on your hands. I had blisters by the end of a mile walk. If your dog heels perfectly then this is a fabulous lead, I wasn’t worried about it ripping at all.

I bought this leash a few months back and have waited to review it after some use. The purpose of this purchase was to allow my gf to walk our then 3 month old Doberman Pinscher (35-40lbs) more comfortably and with more control of the dog. This product did just that with almost no resistance from our dog, as opposed to the pronged metal choker we tried and was not for him. Highly recommend this to those who have a dog that pulls you around when going on walks. Please keep in mind this isn't an ideal leash to take your dog out to go to the bathroom, as it is so short, however I often use it for this purpose if I'm in a hurry. This is a leash to correct unwanted behavior like leading, or jumping, or just overall excitement like my puppy has sometimes when walking outside. Overall I believe this is a great product, we're still using it on our dog that is now almost 6 months (55lbs) and I've had no problems thus far.

I didn't look close enough to the picture to see that the end goes around the neck of the dog. I had assume it was a second place to hold the rope and have a firmer grip on the dog. The rope seems tough and strong and should work as an additional walking leash.

Puppy!! This thing is huge and very thick. It might work for a St. Bernard puppy but not my Lab. Listing should say "large dog" not "puppy." Return shipping would have cost almost as much as the leash or I would have sent it back.

This leash is very lightweight and comfortable, and as others have stated it is a little short - which is a good thing. We got one for our adult Lab and one for our puppy Saint. Our pup has never had problems walking on leash, and he did great on this one also. Our black Lab however is not the best leash walker. She would pull all the time and usually only would figure out by the end of the walk (when she's tired) that she has to stay either behind us or on our side. On this leash she figures it out within the first two minutes. The shorter length gives us better control than her other leash and I'm guessing she feels mighty uncomfortable pulling when it starts tightening if she does.

These leashes are also a GREAT price for their quality (at like 9 dollars). I would personally never buy a leash for 38 dollars (which seems to be the regular price), unless if it had magical powers.
I also don't think this is a good fit for small (or toy) breeds, the rope is rather thick.

5.0 out of 5 stars A gentle training tool
Reviewed in Canada on December 16, 2018
It’s a simple leash that works great if you follow Cesar Millan’s Style. I like the thick rope because it gives more coushion for corrections. I also really like the additional piece that holds the leash in place high on the neck. It’s also a great length and perfect for runs or long walks. My Great Dane/Rotty cross responded great after only 10-15 mins of walking. I am only 5’ and my dog is almost my weight, so you can see it’s gentle to not take away my dog’s trust for me, but it’s enough for him to understand and follow my corrections.
