This is a well-made and sturdy pet carrier. Looks to be quality materials. All seams are straight and stitching is nicely finished. Zippers work flawlessly. Everything about this carrier is really sound--as you would want it to be for lugging your pet around an airport or into a motel.
Sometimes "portable" translates into lightweight mediocrity. Not with this carrier: This is well-worth the purchase, and a good value, I think.
I agree that it will hold 22 pounds. In fact, it can hold a larger animal space-wise. But you would need to reinforce the inside bottom to keep it from bowing under extra weight. It would be easy to add an extra sturdy panel underneath what is already there. You can still leave the Velcroed pad on top of any extra panel you incorporate.
Our other pet carriers don't have so much screen area for the pet to see through. This one is almost half screen You might need a towel to drape over the carrier depending on the temperament of your pet.
I think it would hold a mother cat and very young kitten(s), or several very small kittens, any miniature dog, or a young puppy. Got a teacup or toy dog? There would be room for two in this carrier. Plenty of room for a bath towel for cush, too.
There are carry handles, plus a shoulder strap, and zippered compartments for documents, a food pouch or treats, and a leash.

Very nice soft sided carrier
The Geega Washable Sturdy Puppy/Cat Travel Tote Bag is a very nice lightweight pet carrier. It is on the small side, so it's definitely meant for a cat or small puppy. It can handle up to 22 pounds. The interior has a machine washable fleece bottom. The exterior is mesh and canvas. There are plenty of zippers for easy access. There are also several pockets for storing accessories. Everything is well designed and made. My cats even enjoy playing and sleeping in it when I leave it open on the floor. I really like this carrier compared to my hard-shell carrier, and so do my cats. :) *Vendor supplied product sample for testing and evaluation.
