I’m excited to use this for my chihuahua mix it’s super easy to put on and adjustable to make it fit nicely. It feels very breathable, but I’ve yet to use it on the water although it feels very sturdy. I also order and size small which was a little large on my 10 lbs chihuahua but I wanted to make sure it fit her length wise to help her stay afloat!! I’m very happy with this purchase if your thinking about getting one do it!!!

I bought two of these, same color. One for a 10lb dog and one for a 45lb dog. They fit perfect! I measured before I ordered and they were correct. I tried them on them and they were kinda proud to be wearing them:) I don't go out on the water but I live in Fl and you just never know if it might flood. I think I'll pull the big dog's vest up closer to her neck area so her back legs can move easier. They're light weight, feel really sturdy, love the handle on top. Feel pretty substantial and high quality. Forgot to add, I love all the adjustable straps and the little band around the buckle that can slide so the strap is held against the vest and not hanging

I love these life jackets! Archie (chocolate dachshund) wore the blue XS last year and now his younger brother will wear it this season. The XL fits my 92lbs Dane perfectly without being bulky.
I ordered the green one in a size Small for Archie based on his chest measurement and they sent me a medium by accident. It's a little bulky on him but I like how it goes down the length of his back better.
From the ones I have gotten to use before, the flotation seems to be pretty good. Will definitely be ordering one more when little guy is fully grown next year!

My dog loves swimming and I wanted to take him kayaking, but I'm worried about if he jumps out and gets too far from me or shore and gets tired. So I got him this. The under- chin section is attached by velcro, my little guy didn't like it, so that's why it's not in my pic. It velcros around the abdomen and across the chest, then there are plastic parachute clips to keep it in place more securely. The size is very adjustable.
The handle on the back is very.... handy. When he's ready to get back in the kayak, I can just pick him up out of the water like a little briefcase and lift him back in.
The only potential concern I can think of is that the D-ring on the back is plastic, so if you're going to be using this to attach a leash for a bigger dog, I wouldn't trust that to hold if they pull very hard. But for our purposes and my dog's size, it's absolutely perfect.
Edit: I can now attest that it definitely works as a floatation device. My little guy slipped off a log, into a river and immediately bounced to the surface, he was too panicked to swim effectively, but the vest kept him nicely afloat until I was able to get to him. I recommend this to everyone with small swimmer dogs
He is a 21 lb. (9.5kg) corgi-chihuahua mix
