    This stuff works really well! We definitely have to distract our puppy when we use this but we saw a big improvement after only a couple days of using this. There really isn't a smell to this product either so that's really nice. It absorbs really quickly once rubbed in so we didn't have to worry about him leaving grease stains all over either. Franklin definitely approves too!

    I have to warm it up with the hair dryer as it is mostly solid. Dogs don't mind me putting it on, but I worry it will stain carpet/couch fabric as they want to run off right away after application. It's kind of greasy for a bit. Probably best to put it on out in the breeze way and then let them outside.

    No directions included with this product. The instructions I found for other products don't work with this substance as this is very hard, almost like candle wax. i can't figure out how I would apply this to my dogs paws unless I heat it which doesn't seem to make sense.

    For the winter months, my beagle mix tends to get very dry, cracked paw pads. He frequently licks his paw pads --especially the more red, agitated parts. Previously I searched for a 'heavier', 'waxier' paw pad lotion, and I went through countless brands and types. Lotions were great for summer, however, a poor choice for winter's harsher weather. The wax-based or petroleum-based products were thicker than the lotions, remained on paws longer, and moisturized longer; yet, my beagle's paws needed a heavy-duty treatment that apparently was super hard to find. Unlike Musher's secret or a pet store's brand product, Paws Applause! is waxier, thicker, and protective. The wax clings to his paws & stays on (great for the paw licker!). Speaking of a habitual paw licker, Paws Applause! ingredients are gentle enough for him to lick. The lotion is truly unscented, which is a big 'yay' for me! And the best part, it led to softer, crack-free paw pads! If you're dog is anything like my rough and tumble beagle with cracked, dry paw pads, I'm confident you'll love the results of this lotion!
