Best chemical warfare for fleas! our cat is a white tiger cat,and even with those $50 drops behind his neck you could spot the fleas in the white sections of his fur in between his colored bands, and on his neck and belly where he’s pure white. The first treatment had him twitching, scratching, nibbling his legs, and rubbing his face from what looked like dozens of disoriented fleas just boiling out of him!! within hours no fleas could be found on his body even with thorough inspection!! I then repeated treatments once every 3-4 days as he picked up new fleas he deposited earlier around the house, and increased vacuuming, and bedding changes . these pills combined with good housekeeping I now only treat him when a flea is spotted which is about once or twice a month. My cat has no noticeable adverse side effects from these pills beyond the first treatment which was from him reacting to the increased flea activity crawling on his body....the drops do not work, and neither did bathing him! these pills where the final solution against fleas.

FIRST: THIS IS NOT A MONTHLY TREATMENT!
Some of the reviews do show that people didn't read the full description of the product before purchase and some did not use the product properly after buying it!
Yepper, I feel your pain. Fleas are a nightmare for pets and for us!
My ALWAYS inside kitties got an infestation. It only takes ONE pregnant female to be beside your front door (thanks, lady who lets her dog run wild everywhere thinking it's cute!), to pop inside your home. And the cycle begins.
The eggs are laid ON an animal. Then the eggs fall off as the animal walks/runs around. The eggs must be continuously vacuumed up and disposed of daily for quite a while even after your begin treatment with a monthly approach. They CAN hatch several months later depending on warmth, humidity and so on.
THIS IS NOT A MONTLY TREATMENT!!!! But this can give IMMEDIATE relief within a few hours to stop the scratching, biting, creepy feeling your pet is exhibiting. When I could not get the monthly sizes of the monthly dosages for different weight cats, I got this to use until the monthly treatments arrived in the proper dosages. The fleas ON the pet die within a few hours using this. Relief is IMMEDIATE then to the fur biting, scratching, gnawing or whatever your pet might be doing. My cats were absolutely NUTS with misery. Last night, they rested easily for the first time in a week or two! And, therefore, so did I.
Now, you can dose with this every day, supposedly, but it is a poison. The problem I have with this CAPSTAR is the incredibly large variance in weight which an animal can have and still take the same dosage! So, a very small cat and a twenty-five pound dog can take this? I wish I could have a pill which is HALF the dosage if my cats weigh no more than twelve pounds! Why so much poison?
Anyway, the monthly treatments CAN begin today and seeing how some time has been bought with the almost immediate relief (within four hours for my kitties), I am happy with the purchase. My cats did not go crazy or anything like that. BUT they seemed lethargic and one spit-up twelve hours after the dose and he is NOT a cat to vomit. I can also say that all four cats slept on my bed (yeah, I know, and I washed the bedspread every day after I discovered infestation and am vacuuming the house like crazy!) and I believe the cats gave off a smell resembling insecticide.....I felt a bit nauseated to be honest after several hours up close to them. But at least were no longer in fidgeting, yanking around, scratching, biting fur mode......their livers and my liver, I hope are great filters with no resulting damage...…

I read that animal shelters use this when new animals come in, before the animals can perhaps be bathed and so on. This product has its use. But REALLY read the directions. It is a poison taken internally.

I HIGHLY recommend this product!!! It is by far the BEST flea product I have tried for my extremely sensitive hypoallergenic puppy who weighs 7 1/2 lbs. She is a Havanese and has had a poor reaction to ALL flea and heartworm products from the vet and Walmart. I was recommended to try this product after trying a new groomer, and bringing her to them with fleas. The groomer said she will give her dog (cat if you buy the cat version) one pill of she takes her dog to the dog park for example. She knows there's a chance of fleas from other dogs or due to the environment. The product works in 6 hrs. This is true! Itching stops by then. I'd recommend bathing by at least then, because the fleas just fall off dead!! Yep! And what's awesome is you can literally give your pet another pill next day if fleas recur. I haven't had to within a day. It takes a couple of weeks for them to come back onto my puppy. We live in humid Florida and have a lot grass. My dog is low to the ground and loves to play in it, so she's prone to get fleas and other buggies. This has been a miracle for her. I bathe her once or even twice a week, depends what she gets into and the bathing helps kill fleas since they hate soap and water drowns fleas! :) My dog hasn't gotten sick or had a bad reaction at all with capstar. None whatsoever. I have no fear in giving this to her. Unfortunately, I had given her flea collars, topicals from the vet and Walmart, and oral from the vet (flea and heartworm) and all of these causes hellacious reactions for my dog. So much that when I got the next oral dosage of flea med from the vet, I refused. I've also refused to give her vet heartworm meds. I've had quite a few pets in the past and none have had the level of sensitivity hasn't new puppy to fleas or medicine, so her life is more important than trying a ton of meds because it's what is supposed to work. Capstar works and I bought this on my own with my own money. I don't belong to a company that pays to review things. Get this if your dog gets sick taking these toxic medicines:/ love your animals :)

We have been adopted by a cat that happened to be riddled with fleas and scabs, that was always scratching and cleaning, he was making his little mouth sore with the constant grooming,I took him to vet to get a flea injection but they didn’t do them like my previous vets and told me frontline would work! It hadn’t as we had done it for last 6 months, after reading reviews for Capstar I thought I’d give it a try before going to another vet.
Each time I tried to give tablet in pieces of ham it just fell out his mouth so I crunched it up in another piece and most of it was eaten, I’m not someone that can just pop it down their throat, within 10 mins he was going mental scratching , all I was thinking was aaggghhhhh get him in garden so fleas can jump off outside, although I did use flea bombs around house the next morning . Within about 40 mins he was hardly scratching and that was the first night he slept so restfully, the next day what a difference no scratching, none of the intense grooming we were used to seeing and his fur was sooo soft ,we have also put a doc marten spot on vial , capstar does exactly what it says, he got a clean bill of health from vets and we’re ready for any new infestation , highly recommend this product

Of all the products we have tried to get rid of dog fleas these tablets are the only one that seems to have an immediate effect. After one tablet dog was free of all fleas when checked the following morning. This was not the case with the spot on treatment which reduced the no caught but did not get rid as it said on instructions would kill fleas within 24 hours and stop eggs hatching. This was not the case but the tablets appear to have been successful and still flea free after 5 days.

After the Summer of 2023 bringing an infestation of fleas, my indoor only cats suffered loads! First time ive ever had to deal with the critters. Thank god for this product. Worked as intended and never seen my cats get relief so quickly from a medication.

Advice: 1. make sure you get the right weight size for your cat / dog.
    2. This is a quick fix but does not contain residual. It will unalive the current adult fleas on the animal within 4 hours. You still need to use indorex spray for your home and a spot on moving forward for the animal.
