I absolutely love this Play Pen and am so glad I didn't buy the alternative which was twice the price with much fewer features. The Play Pen is perfect for keeping my new Yorkie puppy, who is 2 lbs 10 oz, safe and secure. It is a godsend for times when I have to cook, clean, or leave the house. I never worry that my puppy will be hassled by my adult dog or engage in dangerous behaviors like chewing on cords. The Play Pen is very easy to set up (it just pops open) and collapses down quickly to a very nice portable size. The octagonal shape can be partially collapsed for easy transport between rooms. The Pen does tend to collapse easily when my adult Yorkie tries to get inside. A thin sheet of plastic cut to size or inscribed within the octagon might prevent this. I love that the Play Pen has a bottom so I don't have to worry about accidents ruining carpet. The top zips off for very easy access and zips on for protection. The 360 deg screen windows allow me to monitor my puppy's activities from a distance. The height is adequate to prevent the puppy from jumping out and my adult Yorkie from jumping in. The screen door rolls up completely and stays up. My puppy has already learned to open the double zippers if they meet at the bottom, so I make sure to close them to the upper right or left. I am very thankful that I have this option. The size is very good for a small dog. I can fit my ferret bed, food, water, toys, and small pee pad. The Pen is very useful for crate training a puppy. Since the sides of the pen are taut, I don't think that my puppy will be able to destroy the Pen -- at least from the inside; the outside trim for the 8 sides does stick up invitingly and may be a problem if she discovers them. She cannot get to the edge of the door if I roll it up fully and tires of chewing at the doorway (which has a metal zipper) pretty quickly. I am so happy that I decided to have this available when my puppy arrived. It has made the first few days much easier and safer for both of us!

PERFECT FOR MY CHIHUAHUA
I originally got this back while I was potty training my Chihuahua, and I have to say, if you are looking for a nice little "home" for your pet this is perfect!! I've had it for over a year now, and I never write reviews, but this was probably one of the best purchases I ever made for my dog. Especially for the price. When my dog was a puppy people recommended crate training, but I hated leaving him in that little box. Instead I bought this, and during my work shifts when no one else was home, we would keep him in here. We laid out potty pads on half of it, and we put a bed on the other half. Over the last year my chihuahua now has been potty trained, and we no longer keep him in there during the day. However my chihuahua LOVES it and will constantly hangout in there and uses it as his 'den'. We leave the door zipped open, and he treats it as his little home. My chihuahua is about 9 pounds and he has enough more than enough room to comfortable move around in there still. (I took a crappy picture real quick so you can see his bed comparatively inside). Cleaning wise, as I said, I've had it for a year now and there is no visible wear-and-tear. In the beginning my chihuahua had numerous accidents in there, and it was nothing a little pee-spray couldn't take care of. The material is super easy to clean and is not very absorbable. If you are considering this for a larger dog, I wouldn't recommend it to keep them contained. The pen itself is very lightweight, and although it's great quality, a larger dog could definitely grab it and run. If you are using this for a smaller dog, I strongly suggest purchasing it. Great item for a great price! We bought this anticipating our puppy that will be joining our 2 dogs. We needed a place for him to relax from the dogs or for when our dogs needed a break from him. It has proven to be just that! And it's perfect for when I need to quickly go into another room but don't want to leave the puppy alone by himself or alone with our other dogs (it's super light and easy to lift). It's also helped for a manageable routine in the morning. It's the perfect size for him to have enough space to jump around and play. He is 4lbs. When I leave it open, our two other dogs like to go inside and investigate or lie down as well! They are 17 and 14lbs respectively. They can both also stand up and turn around. Because of their size, if they started to play or tried to get out, they easily could make the pen move (or roll rather) by running into the walls. In terms of a "hang out" that I leave open, they love it for that and will go there to lie down when there's a comfy pillow inside. For the tiny one it is literally a "pen" size and for the bigger dogs it looks more like a cage size. The mesh has been holding up to the little one's tiny claws scratching (when he tries to play with the dogs from inside the pen). I added some pictures for dog size scale in the pen. The first dog is 17lbs the second dog is 14lbs and the third is the puppy at 5lbs
Update: it survived the puppyhood of our puppy! The mesh was all in tact, although he didn't scratch it all that often. When he reached around 8 lbs, it was clear that it could no longer keep him in one place! He was big enough to make it roll like my bigger dogs. I would still highly recommend it for tiny dogs and puppies, if you're looking for control!
