Product Description
The Lupine No Pull harness is a simple and effective tool, that with training helps teach your dog polite leash-walking behavior. The No Pull harness does not keep the dog from pulling. It helps you convey that pulling is much less rewarding than not pulling. You should see some improvement pretty quickly. The time it takes to change a behavior greatly depends on how consistent you are. Well-exercised dogs learn faster than dogs with too much pent-up energy, but all dogs can learn to walk politely. Harness works with any non-choker style collar. The No Pull Harness is available in ¾ inch and 1 inch widths and a variety of Lupine colors and patterns. Matching Lupine collars and lead available. How to use: Using a pull-and-RELEASE action, your pull turns the dog from the direction he's going towards you. As he is redirected, release the pull so the lead is slack, then use vocal praise or a treat when the dog looks at you with slack in the lead. Be consistent in the redirect and use lots of praise. We have found that this tool works best with a 2 or 4 lead.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2022Color: Sea GlassVerified PurchaseOur 7 month old 24 pound Golden Doodle is a puller when on a standard collar. We have tried a standard harness that clips on the chest and that had helped. Problem is that the dogs chest is somewhat large and her neck is somewhat small. Couldn't find a harness that actually fit her. She could squirm out of it because it never fit properly. Today we were taking her out for a walk and had seen the mail truck go by. The harness had arrived. As my wife drove I opened the package and got it ready. At the trail it only took a couple of minutes to remove the old harness, adjust and install the new harness. Works extremely well. Much better control than the old harness. I like the fact that it attaches to her collar and has a minimalist design which will be much cooler in the summer. I know every dog is different but it worked for us. 👍👍👍
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2014Color: Rain SongVerified PurchaseWithin 10 minutes both of my notoriously tug-tastic Basenjis were walking in perfect harmony. These are 7- and 9-year-old dogs who haven't had a good consistent close walk in their lives. I purchased the "small-to-medium" 14-24 inch model, and it fits perfectly with the short matching lead. Love this product. I can't say it is 5-star perfect for the breed, because basenjis do have a pretty far-reaching gait, and having the control come across their shoulder isn't something I would recommend for my dogs if they were still in the ring, but now that they're retired this is the best and most comfortable walking tool for us as partners, that I have ever tried - and I've tried everything: head harnesses, the Holt (not Halti) harness that cinches around the "waist", martingales...the gamut. Love this. And it seems very durable and well made too! Not crazy about the snap design but it seems pretty tight so far (usually this design can be twisted in a way that it can inadvertently release, as opposed to the up-down spring type snap). It's definitely made to last! One thing it is weak with is controlling them when there is something to chase (squirrels...cats) or get excited about (other dogs). I need head/neck control in those situations, and this isn't going to cut it. But it makes up for it on the walk. I will just carry a backup slip lead.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 6, 2015Color: Fly AwayVerified PurchaseIt's really not meant for small dogs, even though it says small/medium dogs. If you have a shorter dog, this will NOT work. The strap that connects to the collar is not stationary and will slide back and forth as you walk. I'm thinking this could maybe work for a taller dog, but definitely not for a short (or short legged) dog. For comparison sake, my dog is 11 inches tall (measured up to the head) and could not walk two seconds with this without tripping.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 2, 2014This harness really does a good job of keeping the dog from pulling. That said, it is not a smooth comfortable walk with the dog. If your dog reeeally wants to pull it causes a bit of a jerk on your arm as you walk. The harness circles the dog's ribs and there is a strap from the collar down to under the chest where the harness circles the dog. The leash connects to the "collar to chest" strap. The leash then goes from the front of the dog's chest to your hand. When pulled just as much as the dog strains this strap slides closer to you on the dog's side and the dog's shoulder pushes the leash each time he stretches that leg. That is was give you a "tug, tug, tug" on your arm. It is not the strain that real pulling makes but it makes for a very "jerky" motion on your arm and a "jerky" walk. Works well but not completely pleasant. I find it better than the "face leash".
- Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2014I received it on time and in prefect condition. It fit great and looked amazing on my German Shepard mix. He already had the matching collar. It is easy to use and he seems to like it and find it comfortable. I am very happy with it. I love all of my Lupine products.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2022Color: Dapper DogVerified PurchaseOur goldendoodle used to pull on his leash for virtually the entire walk when it was attached to his collar. Within a few weeks of using this, he is much more chill and more or less keeps pace alongside me during walks now. Thrilled with the results.
Also love the lifetime warranty!
- Reviewed in the United States on May 2, 2015Color: Rain SongVerified PurchaseThis is a fantastic leash training harness. I'm so glad that I bought it. We have a very young puppy (almost 4 months) who we have been working with on leash training. He likes to pull and grew out of his last harness. I purchased this after watching the video on the lupine site. I noticed an immediate difference. It's so easy to walk him now, he stays right next to us and if he goes to pull away he is immediately stopped by the harness set up. Not to mention that if he chews through the harness, we get a free replacement from lupine!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 29, 2014Color: Down UnderVerified Purchasedoesn't work on my dog it keeps moving and she chews it. Thanks for the quick delivery.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for walking your dog alongside a baby stroller
Color: Down UnderVerified PurchaseI was skeptical as to whether or not this would work... but it is AMAZING! My dog walks like a perfect little angel with this harness on! I bought it so that I would walk him while walking with my baby in the stroller and it works like a charm. I tried walking him with just his regular collar after using the harness for a while, thinking maybe he had learned not to pull, but no, he still pulls like crazy with just his regular collar on. But when the harness is on, he is PERFECT!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product! Highly recommend!
I love it! It really does help with pulling, and I love that it is o easy to put on. I prefer to use a harness and this is pretty much the easiest harness ever! My dog is not getting chocked. Which is very important. I hate to walk my dog from her collar.

Color: Crazy DaisyVerified PurchaseWorks great. My dog was a terrible puller on walks but within a couple minutes the problem was fixed. Once she figured out that every time she pulled she got turned around, she just stopped and walked beside me instead (on a loose leash). Well worth the money!

2.0 out of 5 stars Get an Easy Walker
Color: Crazy DaisyVerified PurchaseI had ordered the small size and received the medium instead, Amazon dealt with it appropriately.
I thought this harness would be an alternative to the Easy Walker but it's not even close. The strap that goes around the chest is adjustable but the that goes to the collar is not. Perhaps if it were it would work better. Without being adjustable it doesn't stop pulling and I found its actually harder to control a puller.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mine just wants to dash into the next bush that smells nice to him and pulls because he wants to meet ...
Color: Crazy DaisyVerified PurchaseMy dog grew up with this no pull harness and while it discourages pulling sometimes, it doesn't actually stop him from pulling when he really wants to. I also notice he walks a bit awkwardly while the harness is on so I have moved on to something else. I would imagine it would work quite well on a dog that doesn't get too excited at everything outdoors. Mine just wants to dash into the next bush that smells nice to him and pulls because he wants to meet the dog walking on the other side of the road.
