This is not a large bandana, it won't keep all of the bugs off your pet but it does as I intended it to and keeps most of the mosquitoes off my dog so she doesn't get swarmed by them anymore. I would not recommend using this if you're just trying to get out of using a flea and tick preventative with your dog.
