Dog can now stick his head out the window at highway speeds. He loves it. Definitely introduce it in the car while they can see the benefit right away or else they probably won’t care for them.

Size is so important here! I bought two sizes just to be sure: the medium and the large. The Medium fit my 50 lb Catahoula perfectly, and while the large fits him, it looks a little glam with the oversized lenses. Worth noting is that these are not so much a fashion luxury as a necessary item when taking one's pup out into the sunny elements. Our pooch sails with us, and I was happy to see I could get shatterproof, UV-blocking, polarized lenses just like mine but for him to wear. I don't want my dog's eyesight to fail early just because I didn't take precautions for the effects of water glare on his eyes (don't forget, dogs didn't evolve to have to deal with water glare, just as humans didn't--that's why we've got to wear eye protection in the first place). The fact that my pup looks absolutely adorable in these is just icing on the cake!

I got these to protect my dogs eyes when he has his face hanging out the window. And also, since we kayak a lot to keep the sun blaring down on his eyes. They fit pretty good, but do loosen quickly. There is not instructions on what is too tight so your pretty much guessing on that. He is a lab mix and the medium seem to fit him great. The medium are pretty large in my opinion, they stretch out pretty good. My only complaint is that the loosen quickly, I mean went for a short car ride and they had loosen on him, less than 20 min ride. Also, he has one ear up and one ear that is flopped over. So, if you dogs ears are not exactly sitting the same these googles tend to be crooked. I mean they go on fine but will eventually fall crooked because of the ears. And when this happens they seem to become uncomfortable to the pet. A plus is that the foam around the eye area is thick and soft, enough cushion to make it more comfortable and less pressure on the dogs eyes. So, not bad for the price and well made.

My corgi has to stick his head out the window when we drive anywhere. I've been worrying about the potential for eye injuries, so I decided to buy these. My dog is cool every day of the week, but these Doggles elevated his innate coolness to a whole new level.

I got the medium, which fit perfectly. The elastic straps are strong enough to hold the Doggles in place without causing discomfort. I was worried that the glasses could fly off when we were driving at higher speeds; they didn't. They did ride to the top of his head when he shook his head, but never came off.

So why only 3 stars? Because on our third trip with these, when we were still less than a half mile from the house, I looked over and one of the lenses was gone. I drove back and forth over that same stretch of road on different days and couldn't find it. Thankfully, Amazon, with their awesome customer service, refunded my money.

So why 3 stars for a product that failed within 48 hours? Because of the overall quality of the individual parts. And because I'm not sure how the lens came out; they aren't easily dislodged. And most importantly, because 3 weeks later, I found the lens when I was walking my dog. It was in the middle of our gravel road. It had obviously been run over, because there were nicks in the lens. But the lens was intact. No cracks, nothing broken off. Just nicked. This tells me that they will hold up to impacts.

I got another pair. This time I got the new Doggles Sidecars. The lenses are fixed (not interchangeable), which gives me more confidence. Now my corgi kind of looks like the Flying Ace Snoopy. He'll probably want a scarf and leather bomber jacket for Christmas.

Unfortunately our greyhound was diagnosed with Pannus, and our dog ophthalmologist recommended we consider these to prevent further irritation and damage from UV exposure on those sunny days. Sizing the straps is straightforward. We still are working with our dog to become more accustomed to wearing these on his face, but they certainly do the trick. The narrow faces of some sighthounds do present a challenge since these goggles are universal for a wide variety of canine skull anatomies. They did stay on the head of our friends' lab, golden retriever, and pitbull much more easily than on our greyhound. I do have to adjust them relatively frequently simply because they do shift around during running.

Admittedly they do look a bit goofy at first glance, but hey, we all do what we can for our pets' health, right?

Let's be real here. I think people are impressed with how adorable their dogs look in these, but as functioning eye protection, they are not all that. I fiddled with the adjustment quit a bit, and my dog - a collie - tolerated them ( as long as she was distracted). But they don't stay perfectly positioned because dogs don't have faces/noses shaped like humans! They stayed on her face, but as she moved around, they kept shifting. The relatively small eye pieces are not big enough to allow for wiggle room. And face it, dogs wiggle! So I basically have a prop for photos, but not much else. I ordered a wrap around mesh version that looks like it was actually designed to fit a dogs face. It should offer some UV protection and shield her eyes from flying bugs as we drive with the windows down, but she'll still be squinty from the wind. The folks at Doggles need to go back to the drawing board...

Not pleased with these goggles at all. Very poorly made, when it arrived the foam cushion around eye rim was already partially unglued. I fixed it back but it keeps coming off. Would not recommend to anyone.

Awesome glasses. My miniature australian shepherd wears his while hanging his head out of the car window, and while riding on the back of my motorcycle. I'm so glad we made these glasses a must, I hadn't realized how important it was to protect my dogs eyes and vision until we purchased them and used them. They are so easy to use and our dog adjusted to them quickly. The other plus was that the lenses are replaceable and therefore I can put a clear lens on when driving at night. A great purchase.

Fits my daughter's pooch very well. The dog may or may not tolerate them, but we'll give them a try.

They came in a timely manner but all of the top sponge comfort foam totally fell off after the 3rd wear. My dog has had about 2 hours worth of wear time and they already are falling apart! Very disappointed. Great idea, shoddy materials.
I will be spending my weekend gluing the foam back on.

I got these for my dog who went suddenly blind. She adapted well, but will still walk through undergrowth with her eyes open. These provide great protection for her. My dog did not object at all to them and accepted them right away. Many dogs may not do that, but I can at least say that the Doggles must be comfortable since my dog didn't even seem to notice I'd put them on her. Adjusting the size is a bit tricky, there's one strap that goes round the back of the head and another under the chin. I keep them quite loose, just tight enough to keep them in place and my dog can still eat, drink, etc. with the Doggles on. I got medium size Doggles for my dog who is 20kg and a slight build - her head's small for a dog as tall as she is. The medium Doggles fit her but I definitely wouldn't need a bigger size for her, and a smaller size would probably also fit her well.

I got these for a friend's dog, a Collie, that seems to be ultra-sensitive to UV light. She won't go out when it is bright sunshine. I think they are a really good idea, but, understandably, the dog is finding them a bit difficult to get used to. Hopefully they will persevere.
