    I volunteer with a dog rescue group and needed a tether that attaches to the child seat bracket on one end and a harness on the other. I tried one that only clicks into the seat belt buckle. The problem with those is that if the dog pulls too hard or tries to jump out of the car while attached, the part that clicks into the seat belt buckle bends, is then stuck in the seat belt buckle & very difficult to remove. I was concerned about ruining the seat belt buckle. The same concern exists so far as attaching a tether to the seat belt itself. This addresses that issue perfectly. I used it for the first time yesterday and it worked exactly as I'd hoped. No more worries about damaging a seat belt buckle. With so many vehicles having child seat brackets, all of these dog tethers designed to be attached to the vehicle and then to a harness should come with this option.

    Works perfectly for our Beagle. I assume it would work well for larger dogs, too. Clicks in and out easily and when combined with a car harness, keeps her from becoming a projectile in case of sharp braking or turns and keeps her from climbing into the front seat or console surfing on trips. Have not tested it in an actual car crash and am hoping not to :)
