    All I can do is laugh! The people around me found the whistle to be annoying and my jack russell thought it was play time. First, I want to say I read the instructions and waited to my dog was a sleep for best results. I must have turn the adjuster nut until the whistle separated from the pitch device. My dog woke up on each test wanting to play...LOL! So, this device became useless in a matter of seconds. Another thing, I thought humans could not hear dog whistles, each frequency I tried; we heard clearly. Just proves some of this research done on non-humans is BS only because we don't know what a pet can hear or feel. You got people giving their dogs Cannabis for the pain! What kind of logic is that? My advice to other customers, if your in the market for pet devices. Don't go for non-proven, hard to prove and the best; some guy or woman selling you stuff like their life depends on it. 9 out of 10, the item is worthless.

    I read most of the reviews and am a bit confused. mine made no sound (for dogs or humans) no matter how much I tried to adjust it...The only sound was my breath blowing out of the hole and I tried adjusting it for a good 10 minutes while my dog ignored me completely...I am pretty sure I did everything right so I must have gotten a defect :( going to give it two stars instead of one, just in the slight chance I am doing something wrong, but .....its going in my draw never to be used again....waste of money for me. I have had 4 dogs and have had whistle's before that did work.

    I have to put it in my pocket because if I hang it around my neck, it unscrews itself and I almost lost it. When it's in my pocket, by the time I pull it out, the dogs have been barking for too long. I am trying to use this tool so that when we go for a walk and they see another dog, they don't start barking. So, in order for this to work, I have to hold the whistle in my hand at all times, which is inconvenient when walking 2 dogs. It does catch their attention though and I like that about it.
