- Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2013Size: 3/8-InchColor: BeigeVerified PurchaseI have bought and used several types of bands for the bows I make for my dog's very thin hair. These have proved to be the thickest and longest lasting bands. I like that they don't stretch out with continued use and I'm not afraid of getting "popped" by a band breaking as I'm trying to put it in my dog's hair. I will be buying these again when I run out!
- Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2015Great for topknots. Don't leave them in too long bc they work so well that your dog's hair will get yucky if in the same place for too long. Just comb it out and you can reuse if you comb regularly. We sold these like crazy at the store where I worked.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2013Yeah, they get the job done... but, they are very tough to stretch, making them very tight. Yes, they hold my shih tzu's long fur, tight, a bit too tight maybe, compared to a batch of whiter, and much more elastic bands that I bought previously. It makes me a bit nervous every time, i might have some hair pulling, and he would not be able to tell me!
Would recommend a batch I bought previously to be honest, it was whiter and much more elastic.

Easy to use in my Shih Tzu's very fine hair. They stay in the hair well but are easy to remove without pulling the hair. They are strong and can be used more than one time.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2013If you find, like I find, that putting those itsy-bitsy rubber bands on your little sweetie's top knot is a pain, then you will love these lovely little latex bands.
They go on smoothly, and don't bite your fingers or "baby's" hair. The colors are vibrant, a far cry from rubber bands that need to be covered. They don't stretch as much as rubber bands, so you don't need to double or triple them. All in all a good purchase.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 29, 2017I bought this item over a year ago. The bands were very thick and strong. I finally ran out and order another, and what I received is nothing like the old one. See the attached picture. The elastic is also much stretchy-er, not in good way. I liked these precisely because it was thick and easy to cut off without cutting my dog's fur. With the new one so much thinner it'd be a harder task to separate the band from fur.
I gave these a try, and they do not work well on my dogs. The elastic is so stretchy I need 4 wraps to make it tight enough, otherwise the band would gradually slip and loosen. I found bands much more better elsewhere. Returning these.

Size: 3/8-InchColor: NeonVerified PurchaseThese are great for creating a little top knot to keep the hair out of the family dog's eyes, but I'm sure they would also work for small braids, or for sectioning, a child's or adult's hair. The quality seems to be good and durable. I would recommend these and have purchased them previously as a gift for family.

Good product

5.0 out of 5 stars Just as advertised; love them!
I am a Yorkshire terrier mum and was in need of strong but tiny elastics for those famous topknots (ponytail). I was frustrated with those purchased at local drugstores, pretty varied colours but broke very easily. When I received this order I was thrilled. They were exactly as advertised. The size was accurate aand they are strong but flexible, just as a good elastic should be. They were identical to the elastics my Yorkshire terrier Breeder uses for all of her show dogs. Terrific buy. Very happy!
