I don't write a lot of reviews, but I love this product. I looked at a lot of different carriers, and I'm so happy I went with this one. I have an elderly chihuahua who weighs about 7 pounds. She tries to follow me all over the house because she gets anxious when I'm not nearby, however, she has gone mostly blind. Since she cannot see, she often gets stuck in corners of the house or trips over the dog water bowls or gets lost in the house and she starts crying/whining for me. When I'm up doing laundry or running around the house cleaning up I can now carry her with me and she is happy as a clam! She has never tried to get out of it and in fact once she lays down and curls up inside the carrier, I have even been able to take the straps off my shoulder and set her down and she is so comfortable in there she doesn't wake up for awhile. I think she feels secure in the carrier with the walls on each side of her. I love that there is a drawstring at the top to pull snug around her if she is sticking her head out the top to look around and there is also a clip there to attach to her collar or harness. I would recommend attaching to a harness for extra security and so it doesn't pull around your dogs neck. I should also mention that the straps are very comfortable and thick/cushioned which I love.
We have two other dogs who are younger and more active...when we walk them my fiance has to walk our big black lab because I can't handle him. That leaves our dachsund mix for me to walk. It used to be that I would walk my chihuahua (Pumkin) and dachsund mix (Harley) at the same time and it was a tug of war because Pumkin could not go fast and Harley wanted to go go go! I felt bad leaving Pumpkin at home when walking the other dogs without her, but if she came along then inevitably, Pumkin would get tired very quickly and I'd end up carrying her the rest of the way (while still trying to manage Harley on the leash). For awhile, I would tie a scarf around my shoulder to put her in like a sling when she got too tired to walk. This carrier is a MUCH better solution. I can now take Pumpkin along in the carrier and she can enjoy the walk without any issue while I walk Harley on the leash. This way both dogs get to enjoy the outdoors. I am very protective of my dogs, especially Pumkin because she is so fragile and elderly. I felt very comfortable carrying her in this carrier with all of the straps to keep her close to my chest (unlike other carriers where she would be hanging down by my side). I can keep a close eye on her and see that she feels secure and comfortable. I put a small dog blanket at the bottom for her to curl up on. As far as the sizing - I did order the Medium as many reviewers recommended and I'm glad I did. She fits great in the Medium. I may travel with her in the near future and that really inspired this purchase also because this will be a perfect solution to carry her through the airport with me. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I have both small & medium.
I ordered a used "very good" one. I didnt realize there was in a grey color. But that is what I received and i like the grey much better than the black that i thought i was getting. Anyway my yorkie is 3.8 pounds. She just fits in it though for comfort i had to out some hand towels down. It took a bit to figure out how to get it on. She can not really down in it. It would need to be just a little wider. But height wise it was perfect. She could easily see everything. I just wish she could of laid down in it too because sometimes her legs get achy. If she could lay down then yes it would be 5 stars. But over all it was nice. I wish i could of attached her small waterbottle to it some how too. I ordered a small size. I'd say any dog 4lb and above to go to the medium size. I probably could of even gotten a medium for Peanut and most likely them she could of laid down in, which would of been more ideal over all. I have attached a photo of Peanut actual full body size and a photo of her in the small front carrier. I ended up purchasing a "very good" medium finally. It is the same grey color. A huge difference in sizing i think. I think she will like the medium much more. As soon as it gets nicer I will test it out. But she could definitely lay down in the medium. I have attached a photo of both small and medium next to each other. So you are able to see the size difference. I am thinking most even small dogs i would go with a medium. The first photo with her in the carrier is the small size. The last photo is the medium. The medium is a much nicer size. Though if you have a big dog, I do not think this is the right thing to use. It is still rather small and most likely for small breeds.

I am a prime member, and I thought this would be fun to take a long on our family vacation next week because we are bringing our dog.
I will start by saying that this carrier is most certainly for smaller dogs. I purchased a size medium, and my dog is 12 pounds and she is very slender and tall. I would say that if your dog also is tall I would not recommend this carrier because it is wide and short. When my dog stands up a good part of her body sticks out of the top. She can fit in it much better when she laying down. My dog is very cuddly and enjoys being with me at all times. She loves it so far, but I have not had her in it for anytime longer than an hour.
It is made very well, and I like the design of the straps. There are 2 straps like a backpack would have, one strap that goes around your stomach.
This carrier was surprisingly sturdy. It has a flat bottom, and if the straps are tightened properly the carrier will not wobble or move too much. There is a hook inside the carrier that you can hook onto your dog's collar or harness to keep them from jumping out. There is a draw string at the top of the bag that can be tighten to secure your dog at the top. Without the draw strings being tightened there isn't anything other than the hook attached to your dogs collar stopping the dog from jumping out. There is not much cushion to the carrier, so I do not believe that the carrier is supposed to be used for long periods of time. If your dog is small enough there may be room to add a blanket or towel too add some comfort.
I really like the color of the blue carrier, it is much more pretty that the color blue that is in the picture. The carrier is blue and gray where in the picture it is black and gray. The little pockets are great for treats or poop bags.
Overall, I think this is a great little carrier that can be used for shorter amounts of time. It is a great price. My dog loves this carrier because she isn't "zipped in." It is very open, so she does not feel like she is being put in a crate. If you have a dog that LIKES being in close quarters with you and likes to be carried, I would recommend this. I think a carrier working out for your pet definitely depends on your pets personality.
So I would recommend this if: you have a small dog (around 10lbs or less and has shorter legs), if your dog likes to be carried and to be close to you, if you don't plan on using this for several hours at a time, and if you are okay with it having an open top (as in if you leaned over, your dog could jump or fall out of it).

Older pets need an option for a walk. Dog in a bag??
This product had made life so much better for my little dog. At first she wasn’t sure about what was happening. Now she sees me with the bag and she wags her tail. This hound pack has lots of room for the dog (she weighs 13 lbs), her leash, an extra small blank for chilly days, a snack if she needs one. I keep my phone in the bag with the dog and sometimes a small bottle of water in case she needs it. This product is durable, wipes clean easily and keeps my dog safe. The shoulder straps are adjustable and are best crossed in the back. They easily clip into the clasp and are easily removed with the pinch and release claps. Same goes for the waist band.
