How to Train Your Puppy Fast: Fifty steps to complete puppy and dog obedience Kindle Edition

3.9 out of 5 stars 12 ratings

There's nothing as cute as your new puppy. But your puppy does come with problems. Your puppy isn't potty trained so will go anywhere he/she feels like. Your puppy thinks that pulling your favorite pair of shoes to bits is great fun, as is jumping up and scratching the legs of visitors to your house.
Early puppy training gets rid of these bad habits. It takes a bit of patience but your puppy has to learn quickly who's the boss, otherwise they'll assume they're the boss.
We cover 50 areas of puppy training in this book, from basic training and essential commands such as sit, lie, come and heel. Dog training collars and how to teach your puppy to walk properly on a leash without pulling. How to stop your dog from barking. Stopping your dog from digging holes in your lawn. Clicker training and a lot more including the motives for and how to combat aggressive behavior.
Everything I've learnt on training many different dogs over the years is in this manual.

I'm fortunate to have read this book since We are planning to have a dog in our new home to be our companion and a playmate to my son so that he will be more responsible because he has his own dog to take care of. This puppy training guide is very easy to understand and very effective, it will teach you how to be close to your puppy.

Who doesn’t love a puppy? According to the author of this book, Scott Cooper, dogs and puppies want to please their master and it’s our job as the master to show your dog how to exhibit good behaviors. They won’t train themselves which anyone who has had a pet and not trained them knows. It can be a nightmare to say the least. One thing i didn’t know was that the crucial time for development of a dog’s personality is between three and twelve weeks. You almost can’t begin training too soon. If you don’t train them, don’t show them who is boss, they won’t respect you and you might have an aggressive dog on your hands. Not good. There are a lot of good tips in this book, from teaching simple commands like Heel, No, Sit, Stay and Down to name a few. I like what the author says about how dogs that that people contact and affection when very you are much easier to engage with and how you should me the leader of your dog’s pack, the alpha male.
