Mega Par Profile

The ADJ Mega Par Profile is a compact, low profile par designed for uplighting, stage lighting and will bring color and excitement to any party. This Par is intelligently designed so that it may sit directly on the ground or inside truss without the hanging bracket because the power & DMX Ins and Outs sit on the side of the fixture, not on the rear.

The Mega Par Profile offers smooth RGB Color Mixing, has a 30-degree beam angle, 5 operational modes (including DMX, Sound Active and Master/Slave), and has 7 DMX Channel modes for a variety of programming options. Users can also use the ADJ LED RC wireless remote, which is sold separately, to control the Mega Par Profile.

    About the only thing I wish ADJ would do for these lights is produce a little wider beam. However. That said, even with the narrow 30 degree beam, you still have plenty of intensity when you place these lights far enough away from the talent to light one or two people.

    The colors are rich, intense, and the consistancy of color across the width of the beam is quite nice, and even.

    The light is compact from front to back. The way the plugs are arranged is very well thought out, and really allows you to chain link the dmx and power nicely.

    The power cord is long enough to work with in most situations, and it's also nice and thick so as to hold up to frequent gigs.

    The controls are very well thought out. Easy to find, and operate even by touch. The LED display is big enough to easily be read in any lighting.

    I've seen video reviews of this product, and they're spot on correct about the rugged, and compact design.

    I like the fact that these lights come with safety cables for use when clamping on overhead truss structures, or stands.

    The split stand is great. I don't have to remove anything if I decide to pick it up off the floor and mount right on a wall or truss.

    It would have been nice if the remote had come with the product though.

    Now I wish I had not bought the dimmer 50 dollar ADJ p36 lights. Oh well. I'll find a use for those somewhere in the studio. These are much better. ADJ, KEEP MAKING THE MEGA PAR! Thanks.

    I work as a soloist. This is built very well, rugged, can lay flat, the cord inputs are designed to go in so that this can lay flat or tilted without them binding. The power cord is about 2 foot and or so and just enough. It is easy to adjust the different light scenes and I have it on a fade in and out of all of the colors. Also, since this takes so little power since it is LED, you wont notice any power drain, noise, pops or heat. NOW, remember this is not very powerful. I plan to get one more to have one on each side of my keyboard, solo set up...and that will just add a nice wash of colors...The instructions are logical and so is the set up that is on the back to adjust the scenes. It remembers what you set up, so the next time you plug it in, it just takes up where it was last programmed to do.
    I highly recommend this make, design as others are a bit less cost but does not have all the positive features of this unit from my research and needs. Remember it is just a little bit of light....perhaps equivalent to a 25 watt incandescent colored bulb.

    I've ordered two of these ADJ Mega Par Cans a short while ago and just love the ambiance it produces when uplighting and the spots lighting when used on my truss. Very light weight, easy to set-up, works excellent when linked with 3-pin DMX cables, and responsive with the available wireless remote. You cannot go wrong with these lights if you're searching for that good DJ club effect or corner/wall uplighting.

    For some reason I couldnt rate the Amazon LLC that shipped me the light yesterday, but it was CLEARLY used. I rated it 3-stars because I expect a NEW product when I pay for a NEW product. The metalic frame around the leds were scratched and worn (not horribly, but noticeably). There was some kind of sticky, black, gooy gunk right next to the inspection seal. The cloth cushion pegs at the base of the light were dusty and showed obvious signs of usage. Although the light works, the principle is that I get what I pay for. Kinda feel jipped and the company knows that they jipped me.....know what I mean? The company and manufacturer need to figure this out. There's my two cents....

    Light works great. However, it is not exactly what was advertised. I was looking for the ADJ Mega Par Profile with out the "Plus or UV". I was advised that my old ADJ Duo Station would not control the newer light and the newer light would not sync with my current lights that do not have the UV center light. They sent me a Plus UV light and I decided to try it before returning. To my surprise, it worked well with the Duo Station and was in sync with the older lights I have. The only differences are that there is a small xtra light in the middle that I do not use and a slight difference in where the other bulbs are positioned. ( No one will notice ).

    I guess that who ever shipped this either doesn't realize this is the newer light with the UV or thought they were giving a free upgrade. I suggest to the seller that you correct this in your description if you are no longer selling the older light.

    It may help to sell more.!!

    Diese LED-Strahler sind fuer Wash-effekte und aehnliches wirklich zu empfehlen. Verarbeitung ist gut, fuer den Preis auf jeden Fall absolut ok. Helligkeit ist gut, fuer weite Distanzen aber sicher nicht geeignet, sondern eben zum Anstrahlen von Waenden, Vorhaengen etc. gedacht. Die eingebauten Presets sind brauchbar, DMX ist natuerlich auch dabei. DMX und Power sind durchgeschliffen, man kann also mehrere davon verketten ohne dauernd Stromverteiler legen zu muessen. Teilweise (je nach Farbe) kann man die Einzelfarben am Rand schon andeutungsweise erkennen, die Mischung ist aber groesstenteils homogen und es ist keinesfalls so schwerwiegend dass es stoert.

    Fuer den Preis echt ok und gut verarbeitet. Es gibt natuerlich besseres, aber dann reden wir teils vom vierfachen Preis oder noch mehr.
