The Stunt Puppy collar has been swimming at least once every single day for the equivalent of five years. Swimming is the reason we searched for an odor-proof collar. Prior webbing collars never had a chance to dry, so not only did the collar stink, the old fashioned collars allowed the hair under the collar to stay wet to grow yeast and start to stink adding to dog smell. While not quite without scent, the collar is not something we ever intentionally washed or maintained in the 1942 days it was worn.
The nylon (?) buckles are as functional and flexible today as any I've ever had on expensive backpacks and camera bags. They haven't gotten brittle with age or UV from the sun.
The reflective strip is a great design feature has similar, if not the same, reflectivity to 3M SOLAS Safety Of Life At Sea standards which are specified by international maritime treaty. The reflective portion is applied/molded/painted on the collar material, and portions that have had heavy contact or rubbing on the buckle parts for 46,608 hours the wear is completely acceptable and should be expected. Dog isn't quite tall enough to drink from a stone fountain we have, so the part of the collar that rubs on the fountain has been rubbed off a bit as well.
Flexibility - for the 3rd image the collar was wound loosely around the buckle in the center and set down to unwind under its own 'springiness.' It is possible to see shape memory in the collar material where due to age & less exercise it needed to be resized. It didn't seem to effect wear or comfort for the dog.

Very reflective and the Biothane should keep clean. The metal hardware feels good in the hand, just wish the quick release was metal as well, but feels like solid plastic and clicks well.
The Biothane is pretty stiff, but should soften up more as it ages. The only problem with it being stiff starting off is that if your dog is on the small end of the large collar it can be very hard to adjust to fit. Along with all the extra material just being bulky around the neck. They do offer a medium size collar but it is not listed on the Amazon site listing. I'm tempted to just chop it down and restitch it closer to the size I need, but I'll give it a few days to see if it softens up or if chopping is needed.
The only real problem I have is a problem I've run into with other brands is well. Stitching around the logo tag is rough, I mean very rough. What is otherwise a fairly nice and smooth surface which wouldn't bother your dog much. Turns into a rough spot that will cause discomfort at the spot with the logo tag as it shifts around your dogs neck. If you don't believe me just run your thumb over the logo stitching on the back and feel the difference. My advice is to remove the logo tag ASAP as it could bother the fur on your dog.
If companies want to have their logo on products they should find a way to do so that doesn't impact the comfort of the dog!
