I got this pen for my ferrets about 8 months ago. I was skeptical of how well it might endure the onslaught of 8 or 9 fuzzies, especially since there was on unsewn seam on the zippered door upon arrival. I was desperate at the time- needed this to secure the critters while moving- so I patched the seam with mint dental floss- (fuzzies dont seem to like mint, so they never attempted to pull thread out.) -and loaded the whole batch in. You would have thought they were staying at a Holiday Inn- my guys loved it. And it survived . in fact is still surviving - I tend to spoil my "kids", they have their own room with a pair of connected 3 story ferret nation cages inside, two outside cages, and a 6' x 10' wire outside playpen. But I still use this pen all the time- the fuzzies like to 'camp-out' in the living room when we have two legged kids over, this keeps them from getting squished by rough-housing , and protects the kids from having their stuffs,uh, borrowed.( Fonzie also has a little bit of an ear fetish). So everybody is happy . I had concerns about putting them outside in this, as the floor is just a nylon type fabric and even after one night I could see holes from claws, not bad, but holes ain't never good. So to fix that , i covered the inside and outside bottom ,and all seams, with a layer of plastic dip spray. took two full cans, but now it is waterproof-YEA!- and I feel better about seam integrity. Plus it still folds up just the same. I am currently planning on investing in a larger model as they like it so well, but I have absolutely no regrets about this purchase. Interestingly, I tried putting cats, kittens and puppies in this- Did not work nearly so well as those critters really hated it. But no one escaped either, so it does the job.

They will find a way
I like the idea of this dog pen. If your dog is very determined to get out, they will find a way. The zipper broke after my 6 lbs chihuahua nosed her way out and ripped the zipper. I still like it and will sew it shut. I just won’t have the convenience of a doorway for my dog.

Bought this so I could keep track of my new puppy when I take him to work. He walked right in and likes it just fine! He does want to eat at the edges and it falls over when he try's to jump on the walls but it's great otherwise. And that's just going to happen with this type of playpen. It was the size I expected it to be, and was quite surprised when my dog decided he wanted to climb in with the puppy and cuddle. For the moment they both fit! There was slight discoloration on the inside panels, like black smudges, likely from the edges scratching together during folding. Overall I am so far satisfied with this product, and it was a good price point as well.
