    This book is written in a conversational style – you feel like you are actually having a chat with the author in person on raising puppies. It details the key factors to pay attention to from choosing the puppy breed that is suitable for you, to the pre-arrival preparations and to the post-arrival puppy caring and upbringing (e.g., training, socializing, grooming, feeding, medical, etc.). Each factor is discussed in a succinct, practical and easy to follow manner with loads of good advice, tips and pointers. Highlights of the traits and nuances of each of the major breeds of dogs that people keep are also provided – a good reference to help you zoom in on the breed(s) that may be more compatible with you and/or your family/home situation. I have been considering getting a puppy for some time but was hesitant initially as am unsure if I can manage.     You should read this book before you make a decision about getting a puppy. It has helpful tips and tricks. Raising a puppy is almost like raising a child, it takes a lot of responsibility, effort, and love. You have to buy food, toys, beds, give it shots and take it for vet checks. You have to worry about teething and potty training. Always make sure you are getting a puppy for the right reason, not because it's cute. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to adding a puppy to your family.

    A lot of practical information like how to choose the right breed, how to train for obedience & poo-poo, how to groom, socialize, feed and play with your puppy. It may look daunting at first and raising puppy has never been easy. A lot of responsibility is needed. But this book in my opinion has a complete and useful information to guide beginner into raising a healthy puppy. After reading through this, I realised we are not ready yet to take the responsibility:)
