Woops- though the Winter Coat is adorable, it is WAY too big-- My Chihuahua Terrier mix weighs about 16 pounds- after reading all the feedback and consulting the size charts and trying to measure, I went with a Medium- now returning for a small-- will update my review when I get the replacement and can try it on Mr. Hobbs. I note that the Velcro seems to have been ameliorated- and it is not a terribly heavy coat-- we shall see.
UPDATE:
The Small just arrived and fits great! Nicely made jacket and easy to put on- Velcro seems good to me. The jacket is long enough to cover Mr. Hobbs from neck down to over the tail- it has a nice collar and a little hole for his harness or collar loop to fit through for leash....may have to make sure it is comfortably adjusted in placement over the lower tummy for male- should work fine. Mr. Hobbs is not a fancy dresser, nor does he wear clothes often, but he looks adorable in this jacket! Not sure that he agrees- see image!
Snow Use Update: First time in snow with coat- also used a layer underneath- effective and stylish outfit!
