I am a novice handler. I have TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) which resulted in left-sided hemiplegia (paralysis) that has resolved into a left-sided hemiparesis (weakness). I bougt this item to help me train my service dog, Henry, an 80+ pound American Bulldog/Boxer mix. We've been together for 6 days. This collar is amazing. It's got a vibrate feature that is super effective in getting Henry's attention. He's had a few months of training with the foundation through which I got him but he's still got to learn *me*.
So far, I've used it to successfully teach him to not chase my cats. (He L O V E S cats. The feeling IS NOT mutual). He's now responsive to the verbal command "Leave It" when he's focused on something he shouldn't. Like my other dog's food.... or the drawer where the treats are kept

Other Dog is an 11 pound Shih Tzu mix. Not germaine, but I love him.
The collars & remote are rechargeable. It's so, SO nice to not have to play the "which weird small batteries does this thing take" game. The setup instructions are clear enough that my addled, brain damaged self was able to understand. Easy peasy.
The only thing that could be better is the remote could be lanyard-ready. I'm clumsy & forgetful and I swear gremlins take this thing and hide it in plain sight.

Good Product
I have been using these with my boxer mix and lab mix for about a week now. I am having results, one dog is actually responding to the sound and vibrate very well, while I am afraid the other not so much but she is the more well behaved one anyways. (my goal is to not have to use the shock part of the collar at all) The batteries last a very long amount of time. (I charge the collars at night when they are sleeping and put the remote on the charger when I finally go to bed.) Easy to program Nice sized buttons We are using these inside the house first so I can master the buttons before I even try using them outside, I will most likely only train one at a time when it comes to outside. Do remember, training 2 dogs at the same time with collars isn't an easy task in the first place. The one remote is much easier than fumbling with 2 different ones for each dog. This could be easily used for 1 dog as well, could be charging one collar while the other is on the dog being used and charge the remote when you are sleeping! I find that when you are trying to "wake" the remote it takes a bit, which isn't to my liking because I would like to be able to catch the dogs right before they start or just as they start to need the correction. They un-sync rather often (could be user error as I am still trying to master using them) *I have received this product at a discounted price for a honest and unbiased review*
