My dog is the pickiest eater you will ever see. He does NOT like treats (or food, for that matter), especially biscuits - and he hates peanut butter; you could leave a whole box of milkbones around him, and he would not even touch them. But these Kong Ziggies he BEGS for every day.

The length is perfect for the Kong stuffing toy, and I love the fact that you can stuff these all the way in to increase how tough it is for him to get to it, considering that once he gets it out it takes him all of 5 minutes to eat it.

The pros:
- Non-messy treat. Just stuff it into the Kong toy (or not) and let your dog play. It leaves almost no crumbles (could be because my dog vacuums them off once he's done).
- Easy treat, and you can increase or decrease the difficulty and hence how much time it takes for the dog to get to it.

The cons:
- I wish it would take him a bit longer to eat them, but I guess that's not a problem of the treat itself
- Indications say give him once a day, I wish I could do 2 a day

Kong, you should make these in smaller bites so I can use them as treats!

I mistakenly ordered these for a small Kong, assuming the sizes were color coded. I managed to stuff the Kong with great difficulty! I then invested in a medium puppy Kong. I have yet to work out the placement of the Ziggies. It seems either too easy or so difficult that my puppy gives up. I then also have difficulty extracting!
I am still in the learning stage and assume that I will eventually figure out how to use this toy. My puppy loves the treats.
It is important to note that there are 2 sizes of Ziggies to fit very different sized Kongs.

These are just one of the treats that I use to fill different toys, such as her Kong for one. I try to give her only one or two a week because this is another treat that she practically swallows whole. She loves these things but she has enough other goodies to keep her attention for all of about a minute. She sits on the couch with me and I give her one then two seconds later it is gone. I highly recommend these because dogs do love them even if only for a moment. I think I am going to start slicing them and then fill her toy.

The Kong website states "When stuffed in a KONG toy, it lasts twice as long as the leading chew treat." Well, that's just a load BS if you've got a smart dog.
I didn't have my hopes up too high considering her breed, but it took my Doberman all of a minute to figure out how to get it out of her Kong toy. She really enjoyed the ziggie - so much that she also had the whole thing eaten in no time. This is an enjoyable treat, no doubt, but it's definitely not worth anything as enrichment. Filling the Kong with wet ingredients has been much more successful than this item was.

Although, my only complaint was that eventhough they fit perfectly into the medium puppy kong, once it got to the point where they couldn't get to the ziggy any more they weren't interested. Almost have to break them in 1/2 so you don't have to dig them out of the kong for the puppy to finish it.
