- Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2018Got the small size for our 20 pound puppy. All the straps are as tight as they will go and it's a little big. We know she's nowhere near finished growing so she will grow into it. I love it! The main pack is detachable and leaves the harness with a couple mesh pockets behind. I would say the main pack is big enough to hold two 16 oz bottles of water in either side. I have yet to put anything in there as it doesn't fit her yet and I don't want to add too much weight to her growing frame.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 20, 2016This was exactly what we were looking for, and our dog tollerated wearing it well. The straps were fully adjustable, and made it easy to fit it to our dog. I really liked all the pockets and the quick release, since the hike was so long, and the straps were starting to wear under one arm a bit, I was able to just take the bag off and clip it to my own pack, and allow my dog some freedom. Very well thought through item.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2018Very nice made. It can be either a backpack or a harness with pockets. The versatility is great. The only issue I have with this product is that it has a real problem staying straight on my pups back. I've weighed each side evenly and still, it will fall to either side, which is a real problem. My dog walks around with the thing hanging on sideways. And no it's not beach it is loose. He is a big boy and the pack is strapped on perfectly, so it really confuses me. I think it is a fault in design. Does anyone else have this problem?
- Reviewed in the United States on July 23, 2017After looking at all kinds of backpacks for my dog, I chose this one. I do recommend you go one size bigger though if your dog is lean and mean so to speak or, is close to the top of the size limit of the backpacks measurements on the size chart. As every dog is different in size and shape, how this pack will fit each dog may be different. I have a Black Shepherd and with the size I got, a large, the straps were extended all the way out at the time of purchase. It now fits perfect with room to extend the straps if needed since she has lost some weight. This pack is very well made. The stitching is very well done and the material is durable. I like that this pack has the ability to remove the bags from the inner part of the system that fits around and attaches to your dog. It makes it easier when putting this pack on your dog. You first put the internal harness system on your dog folllowed by the bags. The bags attach to the inner harness with a quick release buckle on top just behind your dogs neck and one Velcro strap under each bag. Make sure you attach the Velcro straps to the back belly straps on the inner harness. If you attach the bags to the chest strap on the harness it will slide forward on your dogs neck when they put their head down or are going down hill. I wish it had a more secure method of attaching the bags to the harness though because the Velcro does come apart every now and then. The size of the pockets on each side are of good size. I can put two half liter bottles of water plus dog food in ziplock bags on each side. I also have two bowls that collapse, one on each side. There is maybe enough room for one more liter of water on each side but I have not tried it. Remember, this is the large size backpack I am talking about. The size of the bags are dependent on the size pack you get I’m sure. There are net pockets in the bags and on the harness system that attaches to your dog. I do not use them. The reflective tape on each side of the pack is a plus for visibility in low light conditions or at night. It has a handle on top and D-ring on the back of the internal harness for a leash. I use my dogs own collar if I have her on a leash though. After reading some of the reviews, I don’t want to add any unwanted stress to the pack and possibly damage it. As with people and backpacks, dogs also have their limits as to how much they are able to carry. DO NOT OVERLOAD YOUR DOG!!! Added weight adds pressure to your dogs joints and fatigues their muscles. You could injure your dog, make them over exert themselves causing them to tire more quickly or, give them heat exhaustion. These backpacks do cause your dog to retain some heat. For those of you that have never put a pack on you dog I suggest the following. Start out by putting the pack on your dog empty and taking them for walks. This will allow your dog to get used to the pack. When your dog is ready for weight, they will let you know because they will not pant as much. Then over time, gradually add weight depending on the size of your dog. I used half liter water bottles, one on each side of the pack to keep the load even. A half liter of water weighs just over two pounds. Gradually increase the weight over an entire summer but don’t overdue it. Most people find carrying over a quarter of their weight to be too much and our dogs are no different. Now with that said, you also need to keep in mind your dogs activity level and age. My dog currently carries about 10 to 15 lbs depending on how hot it is and the length of our trip. One other thing I do to keep the weight even is split the portions in half from each side of the pack when I give them to her. I put the exact same things on each side of the backpack when packing it. I will grab a handful of food from one side and one from the other. Also I will pour half a bottle of water from one side and do the same from the other side. Well I think I have written a novel here so I will bring this to an end. I hope my review helps you make your decision. See you and your best friend out on the trail and god bless.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 15, 2017I have a service dog and because of my physical disabilities, I cannot carry things. Service dog packs are expensive so I got this one to try.
((((Edited, i goofed and reviewed wrong color, I got the blue one)))))
Removing the OUTWARD BOUND lettering was very easy with diluted nail polish remover and my patches fit both on the saddlebags and on the little pockets on the harness itself. Will need to add Velcro closures so I can actually carry something in those mesh pockets but still like it
I love the removable packs, however, I did adapt the rear of the middle with a carbiner to help hold saddlebags even
I love the Y front, this is very important as to not interfere with your dogs gait and for comfort for long days
I love the removable part as one of my vehicles makes it difficult for my dog to get in with bags loaded and on longer drives, I can remove them so he can rest in backseat
Once you get the hang of putting them on and off, it goes pretty quickly
You do need to keep weight evenly distributed, but that's a given.
I have the older kylen pack. I like it also, but it is HUGE and I use it in winter when I carry a sweater or light coat or really long days
- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2018This backpack is the worst I've ever seen, it's a walking billboard, it's made cheaply and sizing is horrible! Do not buy it! Get the doggles extreme!! Way better and similar price range(I got my xs for $23 here on Amazon)

4.0 out of 5 stars Maße schlecht angegeben

5.0 out of 5 stars Love the Hi Viz
My border collie\whippet cross weighs 15 kilos, and runs beside the bike fine with this backpack on, I bought the medium size which fits perfectly. He elicits some amused faces, people seem fascinated, so prepare to have a chatty journey when your dog wears this! He seems to be very proud to wear it too, taking to it straight away, mind you I bigged him up so he felt like Superman from the start!

5.0 out of 5 stars I can carry my own stuff!
The bags are easy to fit to my dogs, however it would be beneficial to others if there was a guide to say what sizes fit what dogs. I have a golden and an aussie shepherd and looking at the size a t first I thought that I would have to send them back...fortunately it worked out!
Once adjusted...they're awesome!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product, great customer service
Great product. Looks small on the dog, but was able to put 7 days worth of kibble in it. The quick release buckle ripped after hiking for a few days, but customer service was super helpful
