My little 5 lb Shih Tzu Nickers loves this play pen. I bought it to take with me on vacation. I wanted something he would feel comfortable in if I had to leave him in the motel room alone for a while. I put his bed in it and left the play pen up a couple of weeks before we left for him to get used to it. Since he wouldn't go in it on his own for a while, I started putting his treat in the play pen each time he was rewarded instead of handing it to him. Within 3 days he was so comfortable with the playpen that it was not unusual to find him sleeping there during the day. I have never had to use the side zippers to keep him in. He likes it there. I keep it up for him all the time to sleep in when he wants each day. Problem is, my 5 year old grand daughter likes it in there too and gets in to sleep with him. She thinks it is a tent and loves it. Just a hint to grandmas who need a little quiet time when the grandchild stays over. The playpen comes with as carrying bag and is very easy to fold back into. Just follow the directions. Very easy.
