I keep this long leash in my car in the event I want to take my dog for a hike in a park or woods where leashes are required to give her a little extra length to investigate and sniff. I bought it to train her for off-leash walking so occasionally drop the leash to test her recall. It has helped with her off-leash and recall. It has held up nicely in rough terrain. Only isssue is I would like it to be a little softer because if I am holding the leash and have gathered up part of it in my hand, if my dog darts off unexpectedly, it burns/cuts my fingers/hand. Learning how to avoid that. Have washed it several times and it has held up nicely.

Very strong held back my 90lbs Catahoula from chasing birds squirrels etc many times. Metal clasp is good too even after using in water. Just make sure you store it somewhere dry to prevent prolonged damage.
