Great goggles for dogs

Great goggles for dogs
I've had these Doggles for about 6 months now. I put them on the dog when he's riding in a box on the back of my motorcycle, and when he's riding in his dog seat in my side-by-side ATV. He's endured high winds, has been hit in the face by small tree branches, and has had mud splattered in his face. And he loves every second of it. He leans way out over the side to get the best view (hence the branch whippings), and I feel very secure that he will not be seriously injured, because he's wearing his dog helmet and Doggles. I am dismayed by how quickly he can get them off when we've stopped riding, but he always leaves them on when we're riding, as if he understands why it is important to wear them, so I guess it's not a big deal. As another reviewer said, I imagine it's a bit difficult to engineer a product that will stay on a dog's face. My reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that the color description is not very good. The color is listed as "chrome" - but it's the brownest chrome I've ever seen. I wouldn't go quite as far as to call it brass - maybe "beige" is better - but it's definitely not chrome. My product does not match the color in the picture. But they're good enough.

Riley, my 1-year-old 85-pound German shepherd, endorses Doggles for dogs with irresponsible dog owners who cannot help but let them put their heads out of the windows of moving car. Such owners include his owner. He does have to wear his seatbelt harness, however.

Once I got the Doggles properly adjusted, Riley pretty much ignored their presence. The fit is good, especially after I work the center hinge by flexing it a bit before he wears them. They keep his eyes from getting irritated by wind, pollen, bugs, and debris and I never let him stick his head out of the window without them on his head. When initially fitting it, make sure you ballpark the adjustment and minimize any discomfort so that the experience is positive right from the start.

While he is remarkably handsome al fresco, Riley does look super cool with them on and all of the gals dig his infinite badness.

These fit my German Sheperd great! Well, they will in a couple months - she isn't finished growing yet! However, with a test fit, I could see they were going to be just right once we hit the road come spring time! Just a helpful hint here-order a couple of other brands as well. Experience has taught me that heavy crosswinds require a different set than a strong headwind. Rain and snow might even require a third pair. I did purchase a standard pair of aviator style goggles (cheap ones at that) bought a bootstrap (clips to hem of pants, goes under boot and clips to toher side to keep wind from blowing your pants legs up to your knees). I used it as a under the chin strap, and they work great. But I highly recommend that the first pair be a pair of Doggles! They are the best all around

I still love these so much. My dog looks amazing in these whether they are on his face or sitting up on his head. The straps work great for a dog that is okay with adornment. I noticed right away by the picture that the nose of these Doggles is narrow like for a human. Geez...pretty stupid huh? Anyway, even if they WERE created for the bridge of a big dogs nose, my dogs nose is extra wide and I'd need to find a solution anyway. I DID! I got my dremel out and trimmed the plastic off of them at the bottom to widen the nose. MY dog is red. This color looks fantastic on him. I like that he will have eye protection. I DO! Why not him?

When my little dog has these on, peeps take pix from therir cars or in stores, or whereever. I always hear screeches. I did not get these for looks but my dog(not bragging here) is quite cute in the face. WIth these on, he knocks it out of the park. However, he liked them at first, but now he will only wear for a few mins at a time. They are great for when he hangs his head out the window in the car. Protects his eyes from debris etc. He has seasonal allergies and does not like the hot sun which we have been experiencing in SoCal. I thought these would help so I could walk him during the day. It may be his hair gets caught as he is a shih-tzu wannabe and they fit rather snugly. I'm going to try loosening them a bit.

If you but these, be prepared for screams, giggles, and demand for pix!

p.s. these are not chrome color but more of a gold matte color.

While they appear to be well made--and are SERIOUSLY CUTE on my pup--she can't walk and wear them simultaneously. This is probably more about my dog than about the product, but I bring it up. She freezes in place when wearing the Doggles.

Love them! I have a lab who loves to hang his head out the window. With the Doggles, I can be sure that his eyes are safe now. There was no adjustment period for him. We took him to the car (which he loves), put the Doggles on tightened the strap & away we went. It was almost like he knew they were for his protection. Now, every time we reach for the Doggles, he gets excited because he gets to go for a ride. The first few times we used them, he would try to paw them off after the ride was over. We were waiting to take them off until we got back in the house, so I'm sure he couldn't see well. Once we started removing them before we went into the house, he never touches them. He was even running around the backyard with them on for a bit! Thank you so much Doggles! I wish I would have purchased this sooner!

The bridge on these is SO narrow - we got the size large for our German Shepherd and they don't even fit over the tops of our human noses, let alone her Shepherd nose. Out of desperation (our dog was recently diagnosed with pannus and we need something to protect her eyes from UV), we flipped them over so that we could seat them on her nose. They don't hug her face right this way, but at least they rest on her nose.

The frames so far have stood up to her constant clawing and the scratch-proof lenses have come through so far. Overall though, am very disappointed with this purchase.

These doggles were purchased for my dog who has recently gone blind and had got an ulcer on one of her eyes by crashing into a garden chair. I thought of all the other obstacles in the garden, such as twigs etc. that she could injure herself on and therefore bought these for her to wear just when she goes in the garden. She was not that keen on them but puts up with them so therefore they are serving the required purpose. I would therefore recommend them for any similar requirement.

My little Yorkie has allergies and it just breaks my heart to see her in our newly enclosed patio area that was built with their safety and playtime in mind. The vet said we could give her some over the counter allergy drops for children but, I didn't want to introduce something strange to her eyes or system. So,glasses it was. They fit wonderful but she is known as our escape artist and has figured out how to take them off after a while. Once she gets used to them and she realizes that her eyes are better she won't be so inclined to take them off. My dogs are definitely like kids - she is 8 so she is well into late teens / early 20's!!! I would recommend.
