    What most people don't understand about having a new puppy is the intense training that you must do to produce a well mannered dog. This kit helps get you off on the right foot, but you should definitely look into knowing more about your breed, and different ways of training them. I'm a fan of the pack mentality training with a good understanding of dominant dog (i.e. owner) methodology.

    If you have a dog who is over 8 weeks, you might not get the most out of this product. This book starts when the dog is very young. I bought it when my dog was about 12 weeks old and it seemed like I missed a lot of the developmental periods the books talk about. If you have a young dog though (8 weeks at the oldest), then this book is amazing for them! Trainers recommended it to me.

    This is a wonderful tool kit for a new puppy owner. I was referred to this kit by a very highly regarded trainer. I have heard that it is being discontinued which is too bad. Premier hopefully will come out with something else to replace it.
