I have a pitty / plot hound mix.
He's a strong swimmer who wasn't aware of his own capabilities.
He has swam approximately 3-4 miles in this (with breaks in between)
I take him paddle boarding with me now that we have a proper vest for him.
Once it's properly adjusted --> It does it's job well and keeps his face above water.
Love the bright safety orange color that makes him easy to spot in a lake or large pond.

He can do his potty with no issues / no mess

This is a great life-saving dog vest. I bought this for my 14 pound shih-tzu, as I wanted to be able to take her sailing and paddleboarding. It's easy to put on. The fabric is soft yet high quality, and I love the orange reflective color. She seems to be comfortable in it and in the water. I wanted to see how the vest would hold up in an emergency situation, so I placed this on her and we waded into the lake. It held her head and body comfortably and steady no tipping or rolling over like reviewers reported on other styles that I considered.

We have a staffy who adores the water. Will sit on the deck and just splash and chomp for hours. But as staffy owners know - they are bowling balls and she struggles to stay afloat. It does what it's supposed to however the fabric by the back carry handle is separated.

I've had it 3 months and used it about a dozen times.
I normally put him in the pool on the top step and strap him in so not carrying him.
The flap under the chin isn't long enough to really keep his head out of the water. That needs to be about 1-2 inches longer to be effective.
On the upside it's given him more confidence in the pool and he sometimes just floats ( he's 12 so it's a pretty big step)

Fairly good quality but I did notice one of the straps was hard to tighten up as it kept coming loose when adjusting it. The front velcro flap could have been longer, but the underside velcro flap was perfect and offered lots of adjustability.
Size was spot on, could have been a little longer in the back but provided extra buoyancy when she was swimming.
The colour is also bright making her easier to spot in the water.
She had no issues running around or swimming in it, and didn't show any discomfort whilst wearing it.
Overall very happy with how quickly it was delivered and found it reasonable value for money.
