This is a really handy coat to put on my elderly dog when she goes out to the bathroom.
Its very soft , fits snuggly and easy to put on because you dont have to put their front legs through any holes.
It is pretty lightweight, but when she went out in a light rain, she didnt get wet.
The velcro isn't the best, but the coat hasn't fallen off her off her.
For short trips outside, to the vet or a walk in chilly weather ( not frigid) this is perfect.

Pretty is as Pretty does
I bought this in a large for my 28# Cocker Spaniel, Tre! It is too large form him, but it looks sensational just like a sheepskin coat. Buying pet items can be frustrating and I have had several real misses on size but not as much on this one. He has a knitted sweater that has stretched out too much, but I can leave it on underneath so his tummy and forelegs stay warm as well. This also allows the coat to fit a little better, it is long and large around the neck and the length will only be a problem for male dogs as the rear strap is too far back on his stomach. Large was the only size that was available so I ordered different types and sizes from different suppliers to make sure he was taken care of as soon as possible. A medium would have been perfect. I have him in the habit of sitting on the couch and putting his head in to make it easy to put on thanks to a few treats and rewards during his training period last winter. The Velcro adjusts around the neck and stomach for several inches to allow for growth and variances in pet sizes. So far, so good and we'll see how the Velcro holds out. Good bargain and quick delivery.
