This collar is the best training tool, we are so glad we purchased it. We have a 10 lb. Chihuahua that growls at people and also marks furniture. We just got this collar yesterday and it is working like a charm! I love the options of shock, vibrate and sound, what a great idea. Haven't seen the need to use the shock, just the sound and vibrate seem to do the trick.

Within the first day of having this product the "Mode" button became very hard to press. The "reset" button is covered with a rubber flap that literally touches the collar itself, so when the dog moves around it can reset itself and get out of sync with the remote so that it needs to be set up again (which, of course, is only discovered when the collar is actually needed and doesn't respond). The transmitter and remote need to be charged separately and there is only one charger, and the charge is short-lasting. Within a week this product has stopped working unless the remote and transmitter were just a few feet from each other. The product was effective for the very short amount of time that it functioned properly, but the hassle and frustration of the cheaper price was not worth having to return it and shop all over again for a better model.

My dog paid no attention to it.

I purchased this for a very stubborn Shih Tzu we adopted last year. He is such a sweet boy, but jumps, runs out the door as soon as it is opened and was a barker. I never use the zapper, but alternate between the vibration and beep. This collar has worked wonders. Our little guy calmly comes when called, stays when told to, still runs out the door with the kids and jumps on people a bit, but getting better. We actually returned to the dog park, for the first time in 8 months. Last time we went, he was almost eaten, because he thinks he is the Godfather, jumping in the larger dogs faces, barking and herding. Way to hyper and got him into trouble. He is also so much better with the barking, he does not carry on like a maniac when we leave the house and when we come home, we no longer hear his constant barking. Because of these improved behaviors, he is enjoying an open crate, a second bed in the family living area and his comfy chair all without sad restrictions. We did have to use our own collar, as the one that comes with this product did not adjust small enough. It was an easy fix. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometime it takes multiple button pushed to activate between remote and collar. This could be because of object interference, or proximity between both, either way, it has helped us fix many behavioral problems. A few more weeks and we will see what happens when we remove the collar.

Was growing so impatient with my little yorkie bichon who just kept barking. I bit the bullet and decided to try this project. IMMEDIATE response. I was delighted to realize I can set it on a gentle vibrate instead of a shock and that's all it took. Five or six times and he docilely sits at the back door and waits for me to let him in. WHAT A RELIEF!

We were very unhappy with this product. We followed the instructions for setup and use to the letter, and it only lasted through one recharge. The receiver now beeps and vibrates randomly and cannot be controlled or reset. It looks like a deal at the price, but since you'll be spending replacement money anyway, you're far better off going with a more expensive one out of the gate. It's the cheapest one for a reason.
