I ordered a size up...it's a little long in the back but my dog is chunky. She loves it. It stays clean. The coat is easy to put on and it's cut lower in the front so it's not choking. The slit for the leash is a little behind where a collar would be and in front of where the harness would be.

My dog has a thick neck for a medium sized fellow, so I had to order a larger size to account for that, however the back is too long now and so is the belt in the middle. Adjustments had to be made. Still this is an exceptionally well-made item and it looks oh so snazzy. I like to refer to this as his vampire-pimp duds.Snazzy coat, but difficult to get just the right size. Worth it, though.
