Excellent, Sturdy, and Well-Made

Excellent, Sturdy, and Well-Made
Excellent quality. It is sturdily built with a beautiful rust resistant finish and is not too difficult to move and set up. I love the height too. We use a rubber mallet to put the stakes in and have rocky soil, so even if not all the stakes are not all the way in, it is so solid, it stays where it is put. It is solid. The gate with two strong latches is excellent and works great, as long as you keep the gate area balanced on your lawn and on not too much on a slope. A larger dog couldn't budge it. Our puppy who is a smaller breed who loves to jump can never jump this high of a fence, though he approaches 3 feet in jumps, and it is quite secure, though he can jump over the threshold under the gate if we are not careful to grab him. I wanted more height to be safe, since he cannot escape and run out into the street. An older dog might have a problem walking over the part under the gate, but it is made to keep dogs from charging the gate when it is opened. I read reviews elsewhere before ordering and couldn't be happier. It is my pup's potty place, and he has room to walk around though if you have a larger dog, you could put more than one of these together to give it more room. It is durable and has been outside for nearly three months and holding up great. We move it weekly to rest the lawn a bit and we try different shapes at times. My only gripe is that the decal with the name has faded from the sun. It is placed on a metal backing that could have been painted with the name instead. It has been rained on a lot and still looks new otherwise. I have attached a photo of it in my yard today. I recommend it highly. (My inside ex pen of another brand is very light and flimsy but tall enough and attached to his crate, so fine for inside but in no way would it hold up to the elements.). I am very happy with my purchase. It may cost more, but it does not compare to the others in my opinion. I attached the photo. You cannot really how roomy it is from that angle. It suits my purpose very well.

Oh the high hopes we had for this. It it made extremely well, and would have fit our needs perfectly. It came completely damaged though. The box was in awful shape and the item itself was completely unusable. I'm getting a replacement so I hope this will all be fixed and I can change this review.

I have had this pen for a year. My dog is now 15 months old. He has been able to jump the 48" height for about 3 months. I want to find a solution for that - hopefully a cover. I'm hoping there is a solution that is sturdy and will provide him sun and weather protection. Any ideas are welcome.

Very good pen. I kept my weimaraner puppy in it until she was 4 months old. At 4 months she could crawl on top of her crate which was inside the pen and stick her head up over the side. I still give it five stars even though I had to replace it for a 6 ft tall pen. It is well made and will last a long time with every day use.

This is, by far, the best ex pen I have purchased. The previous one I bought, my puppies broke the upright bars. This one is heavy duty and worth the price.
