Product Description
Resco braided nylon snap chokes are made of super-soft tubular nylon and are made in the USA. These chokes are available in 5 colors; Black, White, Brown, Red and Fawn and 6 lengths. There is a 3/4-inch ring sewn at one end and a nickel-plated spring snap at the other. A 1/2-inch ring floats across the choke for the snap to attach, while your lead can attach to the 3/4-inch ring. To get the perfect measurement for your dog, measure around his neck where the collar sits and add 2-3 inches.

Honestly, I had to tie a knot in it because it is still sliding down (supposed to be just behind the ears), and our first walk wasn't as nice as I was hoping it would be, but I am still hopeful!
Not necessarily the best bet for an aggressive puller, but for our dog, who just needs some tweaking, this one should be great. Clasp seems solid enough for our purposes (but again, might not be strong enough for a very stubborn dog). Material is nice and soft, so no worry about irritation.
I won't leave it on when we aren't actually working- it's just too snug for my comfort. Great as a training tool, though!

Yet I gave it a try, hoping the braided paracord, metal rings and snap hook would last for a short duration, but it took just a few light punches to break it. Paracord and metal rings resisted the load undamaged, but the hook tore apart, like it was made of plastic (see pic). I understand that compromises in materials had to be made for a budget collar like this. Still, I feel that a snap hook shouldn't break that easily, hence my three-star rating.
To sum it up, this collar seems to be fine for smaller, lighter pets, but that Great Dane would definitively need something sturdier.
