Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Customers find the dog house to be an awesome product. However, the quality receives mixed feedback, with several customers reporting that some pieces were broken upon arrival.

"It came as advertised, but with some cracks and broken pieces. I was able to fix with wood glue (except one part missing a chunk)." Read more
I bought this for my mother's new dog. Chip s a little guy, but he is too big for many of the dog houses I saw on Amazon. This is especially true because my mother and sister insist that Chip will not be satisfied with some ugly generic dog house. While I might not believe them, I wanted very much to accommodate them. So I looked at numerous options. This one was easily big enough. It also looked sturdy enough to last for a few years in a Southern California backyard. So I bought it and had it delivered to my mother's home. I assembled it in a couple of hours, using only an powered screwdriver (with a selection of bits) and an open end wrench. There are probably 4-5 different types of screws and bolts. Assembly was fairly straight forward, thought the directions are not that great. I also had a piece that was broken when I unpacked everything. It was easy enough to repair with wood glue and a couple of clamps. The roof looks like it will handle the weather here fine. The only other thing I did was coat the outside with a stain that will also help seal the wood so it should look good and last quite a while. My mother and sister were quite happy with how it turned out. After some initial trepidation, Chip seems to love it and has no problem hanging out in it when my mother is not home. The reasons for the 4, as opposed to 5, stars are the broken piece and the poor directions. Other than that this is pretty nice.
Well first off, the sizing as said on site was for a 40lb than on another page said for 30lb, However the dimensions are such that my 60lb fits just fine, he is a pit, so compact. Nothing bad to say, I would offer do not let pics fool you. It is made of thin wood parts that while are put together for the most part, I have a bit of a hard time seeing 185.00 in it, Must be union labor. It is easy to put together. And it is made out of Cedar, which is ok. I would be reluctant to recommend. I don't see this as a "useable" doghouse. It is im my air conditioned garage, so it works, for the need I had. I cant see it holding up to much Dog Abuse. All around, It is ok.
