My Catdog named "Cow" and her Giraffe give 2 paws up!
So I had an awesome opportunity to try this cute little giraffe out for free. Those who know me.. Would think, why would you try out a dog toy when you do not have a dog? Well... I have a cat named "Cow" Who thinks she's a dog. She growls when she eats, she plays fetch, loves her belly to be rubbed and meets you at the door when you come home! She has a toy box in which all her little dog stuffed toys are kept. She goes to her toy box and pulls them out and chews , tosses, kicks and hugs them to their very stuffed death. She's never had a braided toy before and I wondered how she was going to react with it. I opened the package and called her name. Her came cow running.. I tossed it around above her little head and her eyes lit up like Christmas.. She grabbed the toy and kick and licked and growled at it for about an hour! I would say Miss Cow loves her giraffe. I will include a pic of her playing with it for any non believers! Cat owners, Give dog toys a chance! Sprinkle some cat nip on them. There was no Catnip on mr giraffe. <3.

This toy is NOT for heavy chewers!! WAS TORN APART IN LESS THAN 10 MINUTES! I was looking for toys for aggressive chewers and this toy came up in my search....reviews were mixed so I thought I would try it anyway. I have 2 rottie/pit/boxer mix and they need durable toys due to their aggressive chewing. Was destroyed in less than 10 minutes and they were pooping out yellow string the next day! DO NOT BUY IF YOU HAVE AGGRESSIVE CHEWERS!!
My 65lb rescue dog is almost five years old but she still loves to chew. I have bought this very same product a while back and it was one of her toys that had a little lasting power so I figured I would try it again. It is still one of her favorites but in between chewing on it she uses it for a pillow. I'm hoping that is a sign that maybe her chewing days may be coming to an end.
This poor giraffe is now in two tattered pieces, and it took only about 2 days to accomplish the mayhem. We have 2 18-month old Boston Terriers who play rough, but was hoping this toy would last longer.
Toy is what you expect for $10. I was just trying it out as a cheap trial because our lab mix chews everything in a matter of minutes. I thought this being a rope toy would be a little tougher, but alas, it was not meant to be. WIthin 5 minutes (no exaggeration) our dog had chewed clean through its back legs. We took it away because, let's face it, it wasn't going to last, but at least we got a laugh out of it saying it needed a wheel chair now because she made sure it couldn't run away.
If your dogs is intelligent, loves to play with toys all the time, and has good teeth, this giraffe would look like a dead fish after a month. But Hey! toys are meant to be played however your dog wants to play with them. I have a Doberman mix. So the kid is big! But also, this toy is pretty strong too! Do not get me wrong. It's made of good quality cotton threads that are tied quite intricately to make a good durable playful toy. With small dogs it'll last forever!!
I would never forget those days of joys when he used to play this giraffe! He had a friend in his toy...
My teething puppy loves this. I don't leave toys in her crate that she can choke on, but this doesn't seem like it will ever be a choking hazard so this is what she sleeps with in her crate. She's been gnawing on it off and on for over a month, and only a little bit of rope on the top of the head has come undone. It's thoroughly knotted, so it won't start unraveling.
My dog is an aggressive chewer...she can tear a toy apart in less than an hour. And while I love seeing her enjoy herself by unstuffing a brand new toy and throwing the fluff all over the floor..I thought I'd get her something different this time. She's been playing with this for about an hour now and it doesn't look like its comin apart any time soon so I say we have a winner!
