I bought the large size to use on my golden retriever. I have used other brushes on her before but none worked as well as this. My husband has cut back on her food because he thought she was overweight. After a few days of using this shedding tool we realized she is in good shape, so much of her "fluffiness" was due to extra undercoat! She doesn't seem to mind the brushing with this tool, enjoys it much more than any other I've used on her. In fact, when I tried using it on our cat, she came back over to get brushed again, trying to get between me and the cat. I've actually just ordered the 46 mm size for the cat, I think that size will work better. The 100 mm is too wide for a cat. I tried buying the Sergeants brand for the cat because it looked the same, but the fine comb portion was nothing like the Desheddinator and didn't work the same at all; don't be fooled by look alikes, get the real deal.

Pay attention to size of you.
I'm going to keep this since I read it incorrectly. I have a large golden doodle who LOVES these toys. I pay 15.99 regularly for larger toys in this style so when I saw a lightning deal for this, I jumped on it. This is not a large dog toy. But had I saw the details of it being small and its measurements, I would not have bought. Medium or small dog will appreciate but the videos show larger dogs. Not a chance. It is a sturdy you but not sure how it will hold up under my dog's play.
