I feel so much better having control over my dog with this. He's small but has been disobedient lately and this forces him to get used to being around and to trust me with his safety. I could never get him to heel with those long, extendable leashes and he's finally used to walking by my side, which has made walks a lot nicer. Sometimes he still pulls but at least he's not 16 feet in front of me, while he's dragging me behind. I really prefer this. I might get a 2nd one that's a little longer, maybe 1 foot more max but this is pretty comfortable as it is.
