- Reviewed in the United States on May 3, 2016I just got this collar in the mail today. I had another brand sold by the same company but it was rechargeable and the receiver quit holding a charge after just a few uses. The company contacted me and offered to make it right but I had already returned it for a full refund to Amazon. I had immediate success with the first collar. After using the training collar just a couple of times, I had my out-of-control dog, Bilbeau, coming on command, heeling, and acting much calmer than before. After it broke, Bilbeau decided school was out and has been running after our chickens, chasing the squirrels in the yard and running to the other side of our large pond to play with the frogs. It was time to get another collar.
I really liked the first collar but I've decided I like this one even better because:
1. The set uses four AAA batteries (eight are included) so I won't need to wait for 3-6 hours to recharge it. I can actually turn the receiver on and off to control the amount of battery power it uses.
2. The receiver isn't threaded through the collar the same way as before. It sits on the outside of the collar with the prong ports setting into two holes. The prongs then screw into the ports on the under side of the collar via the holes, with a washer-like ring between them and the collar. This holds the receiver snug onto the collar.
3. I have a 5-pound tiny toy poodle and the other collar was way too big and was sewn shut so it was impossible to adjust the collar to fit. This one can be un-threaded from the buckle and re-threaded after cutting the extraneous portion of the collar off.
4. The transmitter has a brightly lit led back light so it's much easier to see the level it's on and whether I'm using the tone, static, or vibration.
5. The buttons are identified with different colors to help keep from hitting the wrong button.
6. A wrist strap comes with the transmitter, which my other one didn't have.
All-in-all, I think this is a great device for the price and my little man is coming to me, staying with me when we walk, and watching me very carefully! Next step will be a bark collar...
Update: I have now had this collar for several weeks and I am so impressed! I've only changed the battery twice in the receiver and have yet to change the one in the transmitter. My dog now heels, even without the collar on, and doesn't bark with it on, either. He barks when it is off, but I don't want him to wear it around the house. It is too big for him to sleep or lie down comfortably. He doesn't mind wearing the collar but hates it when I "click" it on. The plastic piece is large and loud and jerks the collar a little, so I cut off the ends and put velcro on the strap to hold it in place so there is now no scary click or jarring motion to distress him. If the velcro is too noisy taking it off of the little fellow, I have a wide piece of elastic I may use instead. Anyway, the collar is effective and worth every penny. Now for a no-bark e-collar. It's on order!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 16, 2017I have been very well satisfied with the training collar that I purchased! I have a very hard headed brat, otherwise known as Malachi the Great Dane puppy! He has been quite a handful, to say the least! I had tried everything! Nothing was getting through to him! As a last resort I bought the collar.
I was having a huge problem with Malachi jumping on my female Dane, Evie. Any time she was in our fenced backyard, Malachi would attack her, not viciously but, still being far too rough. I could not get him to stop! Using the collar, he learned quickly that this is not acceptable. I only use the shock function as a last resort. Once he came to understand the warning, that's all it takes! I'm over the moon!
I do wish the remote was made more sturdy. The wrist strap came off in a week. It's very inconvenient to carry without it! Also, I accidentally dropped the remote and the back popped off, breaking the cheap tiny tabs that hold it on. Now I have to use a rubber band! Even more inconvenience!
Overall, I am definitely happy to have purchased the collar! I would definitely recommend it to others!
I have not been compensated in any way. I would appreciate it if you would take the time to push the helpful indicator, below the review, if my review has been helpful! Thanks very much!!!

- Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2016This product didn't work out for me. I needed a training collar for a small dog and this one was the best price I could find. Unfortunately, there was too much of a delay between the button press and the vibration on the collar. I emailed the seller about that and the response was that it needed run-up time. I was able to return this with no problems.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2016I bought this collar a month ago. The function is great, but we have lost the receiver twice. No matter how carefully we've tightened the prongs, it has loosened and fallen off the collar. We bought heavier duty nuts for it to prevent this from happening again, but it is now lost forever. I had a collar for three years before this and never had an issue. I've triple checked the instructions and even had my engineer neighbor check to make sure I was properly assembling everything. One month and I no longer have a functioning collar.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 27, 2016Our dog (an 8 month old puppy that is extremely smart but is so excited he forgets to listen) has been wearing this collar for a couple weeks (not turned on), although we just started using it the past few days. A few times a day I would use the beep and tell him he's being good, to get him used to it, but yesterday was the first time we started training with it. I worked with him for maybe an hour and we took a break. Maybe 2 hours later, I went to beep him because he was being so good, and the collar was dead. I'm hoping they were just bad batteries that came with the collar, because I'm not going to be happy with this collar if I have to replace batteries every few days.
