Love the aesthetics, and everything else!❣🐶
We bought this for our Yorkie, Kipper. I chose this for many different reasons. The size 24×36 was perfect to have a bed on one side, and his pee pad on the other. I liked that it had a bottom, because it's placed on an uneven part of our floor. Part of it sits on our shag rug, and part sits on our wood floors. I knew this wouldn't be an ideal area for a floorless option. I also liked that this came with a removable top, because I thought that'd be useful during his first few weeks. Honestly, we've chosen to keep the top on, and have a blanket folded over the top to keep it warm, shaded, and cozy. But, it's great to have options because every pup is different, and we didn't know the personality of our's yet. And one of the main reasons I chose this particular kennel, was for the aesthetics. Our home decor is mostly white and gray, and I wasn't looking forward to putting a big, bulky, ugly kennel in the middle of our living area. I also didn't want to have to hide it in an area where our puppy would likely not want to wonder off to alone, so this was the perfect solution for us. I don't know what I would have chosen if I hadn't found this. I looked at so many different kennel options that I wore my brain out. I will say, I am still VERY pleased with this decision, and we've had it for almost 7mnths now. For installation, my husband did have to screw the white frame into the plastic corner pieces. It came with the 4 sides separated. The gate/door was already assembled. We placed everything onto the bottom floor, and the top is attached with multiple pieces of velcro to wrap around the top edge of the frame when in use. It was an easy assembly, and didn't take more than 20 minutes or so. This is the perfect option for us. Our Yorkie was 2lbs when we got him, and is now about 5lbs and is almost full grown. He has really taken to his kennel. It did take a couple of restless nights for about 2 weeks or so before he'd sleep through the night. We tried covering the kennel with a blanket completely, taking the blanket and the top off, and every other different thing we could think of. In the end we stuck with having a blanket covering the top, and 3 sides, and this is what still works for him. He now goes in on his own sometimes if we're not being still enough for him to sleep on us once he's tired. He knows it's his safe space to rest. He has a pee pad on one side, and doesn't use it often, but there are times when he can't hold it, and he always goes over to that side to do his business. This is our first time using a kennel. Our first Yorkie that passed away in May, was never kennel trained. It worked for him, but I honestly don't think it would have been a good idea for Kipper. He's been a little harder to potty train, and is a happier at times. Having a place that he knows is bedtime has helped him adjust and understand when it's time to sleep. This was a great value for us, and I love how good it blends in with our home. I definitely recommend this. I have no negatives that I can think of.

This dog crate is amazing. It put together in less than an hour with clear instructions and all the right parts. Arrived quickly, with no broken parts, and my shepherd had a grand time destroying the massive box it came in with all the cardboard pieces to destroy. I move it around with relative ease. It is pretty flimsy, but my dog is really calm. I don't leave her in it for extended periods of time because I also have a regular metal frame. I would feel fine leaving her in it as she isn't an escape artist, but if you have an escape artist this isn't the product for you. It's nice that I can fit plenty of beds, blankets, and toys in there--with room to spare. My dog has enough room to wander around as she pleases at night. The mesh roof is fine, but doesn't fit my purposes at all. It's not sturdy by any means. I kind of thought I'd get a 2 for 1 deal with a dog bed/crate and a cat hammock with the mesh top--but my 10 pound cat falls right through the flimsy velcro adhered top.

My only complaint is that I wish it came in a "taller" option rather than a "longer" option as my Dutch Shepherd (60 lbs) tries to sleep in it occasionally and she has to crawl through the door. My beagle/foxhound/greyhound/whatever mix (29 lbs) is only 20ish inches tall and she still bumps her back going in and can't sit up straight in it. It's listed as a dog crate but it's longer than my 42 in crate and couldn't begin to fit a dog of the same size due to the height. Personally, the height isn't a big deal, it's nice not having a crate that dwarfs a room in length AND height, but it would be nice for my dog to be able to sit up if she really needed to.

Ultimately, I love that I don't have to "design my room around" my dog crate anymore. It was a big pain having to make sure wherever the dog crate was that a) the door could open (in the right direction) and b) there was nothing within a 2 foot radius of the door that would catch the door. The door slides open and slides shut. It makes a satisfying CLUNK when it's shut and slides open soundlessly. The opening and shutting is relatively quiet as someone else lets my dog out in the morning from my room where I sleep and I don't notice it at all. My other dog sleeps right in front of the crate and the door still works (I cannot stress enough how glorious the sliding door is!).

I bought this four months ago for my Maltese puppy. I was initially using gates to confine him because I didn't want to crate him and to top it off, I do not like the way the traditional crate looks. But he would either climb through the gates or over them. So I needed a solution.

Stumbled upon this and I loved the way it looked. I was hesitant at first about spending so much money for a crate/ playpen, but I needed something to contain my puppy.

When it arrived and I was setting it up, I thought it was flimsy, and I was thinking about returning it. The screws didn't seem to screw all the way in, and the metal part of it isn't made of heavy duty metal, like the "traditional dog crate". Also, the plastic bars are made of cheap light plastic. To top it off, it was shaky.

Despite all that, after 2 days of having it I decided to keep it. It's everything that I wanted. It looks really really good in my apartment. It's very attractive, my puppy loves it and it's super easy to clean. It's also big enough for him to have his food bowl, bed and play area. It's like his own apartment, in our apartment. One of the best feature is that the door slides, so he can't lock himself out.

I find that it's sturdier with the mesh top strapped on. Bottom line is that this playpen will serve it's purpose for a puppy or a small dog. So for that, I give it 5 stars. Just wanted to touch on those negative points so you can have an idea of what to expect.

I've attached pictures so you can have a visual....my puppy is 5.2 pounds, plenty of room for him.

Oh, and he has not been able to escape.

This is a very attractive crate and it is not too big. I have it in a corner of my bedroom and it looks very nice. My puppy likes to sleep in it and it is very secure. Excellent sliding door that fastens securely.
