    The material is thick and appears to be waterproof as it has sheltered the Kittywalk from many rains. However, the fabric does not go the ground. It stops about 3" short and so it does not protect the bottom most part of the Kittywalk from the elements. This is really a shame. What would it have taken to make the cover slightly longer than the actual Kittywalk? I would rather have paid more for a proper fitting cover that would totally protect the unit. Very disappointing and frustrating.
